I had often wondered about the Ishod 8.75 twin that came out about this time in 2024 as a few people were pretty keen on something like that.  One and done it seemed, as there were no others released after that one, until now that is.  Maybe it was because it did have such a long wheelbase, or just didn't sell as well as they would have hoped.

For reference, here is a post about them, with the dimension sticker too - 14.68 is pretty hefty, but with those double drilled baseplates, it might work out a lot better now.

I so regretted not buying one of these when they came out. If they ever drop the 8.75 Ishod twin dbx I’m buying 10 of them

alas, the 8.75" is not a DBX in the summer. there is a DBX Twin Slick coming though. 8.25" i think.

The thing with Twin tail popsicles is they hold their width through the whole shape . 8.75"twin  will feel a lot bigger than most 8.75"s. good for those of us who ride bigger boards in general. I'm hoping to pick up a Worrest Twin Slick at some point. i haven't ridden anything under 8.5 in years so it could be interesting...

I’m riding a 9” twin now with 9” ace classics and it’s fun but it’s a bit weighty for me. 8.75 twin with my AF1 hollows would be right back in my sweet spot

I'm hoping to pick up a Worrest Twin Slick at some point. i haven't ridden anything under 8.5 in years so it could be interesting...

When I skated that 8.3 twin, I felt like I was falling off the ends of the board and the kicks were way too short for anything I was used to.

As that is the Ishod (and Worrest) go to, I guess they get used to it or prefer it as is, with the length of kicks as is and all that, but the 8.5 twin was way more "normal in the tail" feeling to me than the 8.25 or 8.3 twins.  I still kept looking for more nose though, so that is just a me problem, not an issue with any of those boards.

Came across this on the WKND UK website. 8.58MC shape with a 7" nose and tail with a 14" WB but not in stock on their website or any of the regular retailers.

If they did the LL deck in Shape 1 with those dimensions it could be really interesting, most twins are either really short (Ishod TT) or really long (AWS / Habitat Twin).

It's been on my radar, because they source from HLC and I haven't tried that wood and the specs on paper sound great, but I can't bring myself to buy a plan b

Rode a Skate Deluxe twin, also made by HLC. Standard tips right between a nose and rail, medium concave across the middle, nothing remarkable shape wise. Very middle of the road in terms of stiffness.

The kicks are on the longer side, but not quite 7" on both.

The last 4-5 boards I have had, I am have been skating the nose as a tail just to get more life out of it + the trucks, so i think this just makes way more sense anyway. Hopefully I like it and they continue to grow in popularity. I think a lot more pros are starting to use it too.

Yes for six years straight now. Cept for the one time I tried to go back to a tail+nose.

I like the ones that tend toward a hybrid length for each kick so between the 6.6.25 and 7. Mellow concave and kicks.

If you had dedicated rear and front marked trucks, it might take time to adjust and even out especially if you have grooves. If you have a fresh set of trucks consider loading those with the twin.

I've just been on them so long that whatever way I set the board down next to skate, that's the front truck for that run.

When I am not on Huffers I tend to skate twins. Usually the Skate samples GFB but recently got a Bob Twin Slick.

Looking forward to the Bob Twin 8.75" which is out this summer.

I do all my "serious" skating (which is not very serious at all) on the Ishod 8.5 twin. The sole exception to the rule is the Black Label 8.75, which I would love even more if it was symmetrical. I've grown so used to twins that it now bothers me if I have to account for the way my board is facing.

Looking forward to the Bob Twin 8.75" which is out this summer.

That sounds intriguing. Do you know if it's going to be the same dimensions as the Ishod 8.75 from a couple years ago or something new?

I’m on the foy twin for some time now. Works great for everything because the kicks are a little pointy (which I like more because it reminds me of traditional decks) and pretty mellow. Was my first twin and due to the length of the kicks there was not really a point of getting used to them for skating Nollie or switch.
Tried the the primitive twin nose and couldn’t stand it due to too much fingers of flat. Couldn’t get used to the Ishod twin 8.5 either because of the blunt kicks.
Overall it’s super nice not to worry about board direction. Especially when skating lines with shuv out tricks.

I've ridden twins exclusive for 3 years ever since they got more mainstream and the tips became more hybrid nose + tail instead of strictly tail.

2 Real Hause 8.35 Twin Nose decks. #1 was picked up on a whim while visiting a local skate shop during business travel, had a great chat with the guy behind the counter and couldn't leave without getting something to support the shop. #2 was for a Spring time complete.

I know this was from the other thread, but I thought the question and answer might be better here, especially with the talk of longer kicks.

Guessing you haven't set one up yet, but I haven't seen these in person so just asking for now - do the kicks look or feel more on the "all rounder" side?  Mainly when compared to the Ishod twin tails, of which I have one of each size, but have always felt a little short overall for me.

Some boards like the Alien owlien deck just felt too long with everything, but I saw dimensions for the Hause boards and thought that might be a little bit more interesting, but didn't have easy access to any at the time.
