Skating after surgery recovery
« on: August 04, 2019, 05:57:37 AM »
Hey y'all, so I had surgery on my foot due to a Lisfranc fracture about 8 months ago and I'm beginning to exercise about twice a week as well as be on my foot due to my work about 3 times a week. I've tried skating about once a week but I feel like my foot can't handle it due to the plates and screws around my arch and I feel like it's gonna take a longer time to heal before I can skate comfortably again. I listened to the Bunt where Evan Smith was talking about the same injury and he waited about 10 months before he started skating again. My question is for anyone with this injury or something similar, does 10 months sound about right or is it more of a "you know your own body better" type of deals?
