Vans - Take It Back

ehh. rowley's a legend etc etc, but much the same from him. felt like that was an ode to his propellar part or something. the ditch/bank footage is just tired. enjoyed the few street tricks he had. pedro & ronnie had some hairball shit,  look's like ronnie is 100 percent after that broken knee cap.

I really want to dog on Pedro for Red Bull and airpods, but holy back noseblunt.

Beyond that, I'm looking forward to revisting this once every six months when it pops up into my YouTube feed.

Rowley crushed it are you kidding? Dude is over 40 and literally still risks his life for skating. I don’t even give a shit about ditch skating but you’re tripping if you can’t get behind him.

Chameleons track was ace.

Also dope that Ben has a guest trick. Pretty sure Nike wouldn’t let someone wearing Vans in one of their videos regardless of circumstances so props to Vans.

Agree 100% with this. There’s no way any of us are taking slams like that in our 40s.

Infinite respect to Rowley for what he’s done and for still pushing himself but I agree that I’m bored of seeing him noseblunt ditches. A few great tricks in there though. The popshuv over the wall and the impossible fifty stood out to me.

Pedro is a maniac but he doesn’t really do it for me.

Ronnie has great style and keeps tranny skating interesting. His part was amazing.

Imagine not backing Rowley of all people, jesus.  There aren't many parts out now better than his part in Sorry.  In 2002.  Dude rules.

Damn Ronnie came back from injury Ronnie 2.0. Really liked his part. Some skating that’s breathtaking and stylish at the same time.

What was up with the editing in Rowley's part? Showing him attempt two completely different tricks to the ones he landed. Thought that was very odd.

Good eye. Either he ended up putting the sign there so he could actually do it (and this is a previous attempt), or they photoshopped it out to make it look like he did it on raw fence. Either way I'd say that's taking it a bit too far.

I feel like they were going for a Sorry vibe with the music for Rowley, but the skating didn't really have the same energy.

I don't think he deserves it, to be honest.

I saw Rowley at a grocery store in Los Angeles awhile back. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.

He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”
I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.

The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.

When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

Sick vid, but yeah he's a weirdo.

Wasn't Elijah supposed to have a full part in this years Vans project (which appears to be this) to coincide with his shoe coming out this year (which dropped earlier this year). I guess he has been too injured to stack the footage required. Hopefully, he has something else on the way.

Yeah looks like the injury made him realize how temporary skating is. Gotta get some while you can. Loved his section. Best feet of any transition skater.
I thought it wasnt just him solo, shouldve stuck with my og thought.
