Maybe it's a net positive on the world but I don't yet care much for her. Pretty much the only thing I've ever seen her say is "How dare you".
Feels like she's just reading all talking points that internet slacktivists have prepared and world leaders will use the act of allowing her to speak as proof they're environmentalists.

An appeal to ethics will never, ever work at any scale. I'll keep tabs on her story though. Love to be wrong.

One year is a huge leap from a one-girl protest to poster-face of the environmental movement.

Of course she is getting help, coverage, and whatnot  And there is a danger she will be co-opted into reform rather than the radical change she talks about.

But it’s still nice to hear someone’s (amplified) voice cutting through the crap in a way that makes the news.
