Yeah but I only really listen to the classics now. I've wasted a lot of money on obscure punk records in my time. I love UK82 bands like Chaos UK, GBH etc. Oi/street rock like The Business. Disclose, Discharge, Crucifix and a lot of Finnish and Italian punk.

Does anyone know what's going on these days as far as good punk/crust/and hardcore goes? I mean like post 2012.

I stopped cheking for new stuff as a lot of punk bands are a copy of a copy. I was heavily involved in the scene internationally but it got really tiresome. If there's something great and unique out there I'd love to hear it. I mostly listen to electronic music/rave stuff and old psych and jazz stuff these days.

As far as I can tell these days the scene in most of the cities are still alive and thriving. Yeah for a it it was that weird folk punk mess that was cute and novel. Not that I didn't enjoy AJJ or Harley Poe it just doesn't have the same heart as some of my favorite crusty bands.

 I got in a fight with Felix over something stupid shit. primarily I spent a lot of time in these areas and had somewhat an involvement in lesser known bands and it boils down to this if you are an outsider you'll always be an outsider.

I like where I am at mentally as I have spent enough time away from every scene that I can see it as it is. A who's who and a pissing contest between scenes.

I like the DIY metal scene and basement shows of yester years gone past as there was no showboating no drama and it just was the right place right time.

Warcollapse  is fucking sick, I like that wolfbrigade type of crusty dbeat jam. Reminds me of a punker version of Misery. Here's a rad thing I found you guy's EP along with Misery early years in a starvation army for dirt cheap and I was giddy as a school girl when I came up to my wife like shoving in her face look at what I found!!!!!!!!!! She told me oh you'll never find anything good in those thrift store records, Bullshit!!!!!

John one of the guys from Misery was getting rid of his guitar amps for dirt cheap, I was in town managed to scoop up a half stack with their logo on it. I was so psyched probably blew it with being star struck but hey you know how it is. I was more then willing to pay a $150 for a decent half stack.

Misery, Amebix, Extinction of Mankind, Disrupt, Nausea, Resist are pretty much top tier gold standard for crusty bands that others bands draw influence from.

I love the Inmates! Cleveland hardcore is a special brand of stupidity that coudn't be from anywhere else. Cement Shoes is one of my favorite hardcore songs ever.
