Wtf more could Rick have to say... sheesh... rick was one of my favorites growing up.... i owed a skate shop back in the day and when rick first called the shop selling traffic boards i was stoked to talk to him on the phone... it didn't take long until i was avoiding his calls altogether

It was years ago but he just was damn near impossible to get off the phone.

I did get to skate that philly warehouse with him that he did the wallride hippy jump in in the New Deal vid.

We were all intimidated to take a run and he was like "not all at once boys" which was kinda funny.... and when he would drop in my buddy andrew who was standing on the deck next to me would start doing the damage incorporated intro under his breath and it was cracking me up.

I remember Ricky from Love back in the day- he was chatty but a good dude, especially to us little guys.

Ricky is up there with Jamie Thomas in terms of legends of my youth who I’ve pretty much completely soured on as an adult after listening to podcasts, watching YouTube stuff, and reading interviews over the years with them. 

Many other good to dudes to come out of the Philly skate scene like Jimmy Gorecki, etc. who don’t bring that constant negative energy to look up to instead of that dude.
