I always said Rowley as if the Row rhymed with Cow and the Ley like Lee.
But im australian so im gunna say an english guys name wrong no mater how i say it.
On other wrong names, i thought it was anthony pap-lah-rad-oh for yeeears.
On topic, i like cereal and baca.
thetosis, who as im typing this i realise is actually theotis, has rarely done any tricks where ive watched and thought "that looked good"
he always looks happy though.
This is how me and my friends say it, too late to change now
Mike Vuh-lei-lee also mispronounces his name. He says Vah-lah-lee or some shit, where the first two syllables rhyme. That idiot.
I've never heard Cyril's name said aloud, though I know his nickname was Cereal Killer, suggesting that pronunciation. Krill would be a cool way to pronounce it. It's etymology suggests the y came from an upsilon, and the c a kappa, so it'd be pronounced ku-ril.
That Key and Peele sketch where the guy mispronounces all the Anglo Saxon names is pretty funny. I do that when I read story problems to my class. Like if it has Sarah collecting cans, I pronounce it "Sur-ah". They get so mad, and try to correct me, and I'm all like, "What? You know how she pronounces it? You know the girl in the story problem? You don't know."
Happy Friday. Hope everyone has a nice weekend, maybe even get a shralp in.
