Tyshawn’s board size
« on: April 26, 2020, 03:47:41 AM »
Does anyone know what size board TJ rides? Was watching a vid of him and his board looked relatively small or he just has humongous feet.

I took it upon me to review various recent tyshawn parts. I came to the conclusion that he has very large feet and skates board of ragualar width. I compared his feet and his deck size to different skaters that appear in videos next to him. I would say he skates decks in the range of 8.25 or 8.4. His feet must be size 14 or more.

No, I don't have anything better to do. I am killing time to later meet a friend to go skate the one street spot in my city, where people have not been threatened with large fines for skateing during the pandemic.

With hops like those and lanky legs like those, you better believe he has huge feets

8.25

8.25 Fucking Awesome w/Mob
144 Indy forged hollow
54mm Fast Skateboard Wheel Co
Bones Reds
Shortys Lights 7/8

Tyshawn gave me this deck when I went to NY about 2 months ago. First time ridding an FA and I can really notice that the tail and nose are much steeper than the Passport I was ridding before. It's messing up a bit my pop but after two sessions it's feeling more normal now.
Now I put some new FSWC wheels that I got in the mail today.
Kinda excited to try them out but I think I might have went with a size thats too big for what I'm used to.
while cool-guying is a real phenomenon, studies show that 83% of all cool-guying incidents can be attributed to the cool-guyee being an awkward weirdo

Ok

I wish there was a whole thread dedicated to what does so so ride. I find it unreasonably fascinating to know what pros/rippers ride.
I also find it difficult to gauge what size boards and trucks people are skating from footage.

I think Tyshawn skates an 8” deck with 147s. His board and trucks look small.
