off topic, and somewhat contradictory to my point about inflated pricing: i do get somewhat annoyed by kids complaining about the prices of boards, considering my first deck, in the late 90s, cost $150 (AUD). these days, 'top brand' decks here are between $100 and $130 (AUD)

I'm definitely one of those sour old dudes who thumbs his nose at them despite the fact I definitely paid $60 in 1990's money for fucking JNCO jeans when I was young, but I'm at least aware that it's fucking stupid of me to do that.

That being said, it's super conflicting for me because I just bought my first Hockey deck - the Ben Kadow "City Fear" one (which is somewhat ironic because he's the one I hate the most) - and I fucking love it. The shape is great, it's on good wood, it's a shorter deck with a 14.25 wb, and now I understand why everyone is skating these wide/more squared off kicks these days. Really like the graphic too. I won't embed it to save bandwidth and data for people who don't care but here's a pic.

Do they still not let shops sell online in the states? Up here grabbing FA/Hockey stuff at online sales is a pretty easy way to score that stuff at normal prices.
