Bad taste in what? A lot of what's popular nowadays is in really poor taste. I think the people hating on Weck STILL don't get it. If you don't think he's funny you probably have really whack sense of humor, because he's HILARIOUS. Plenty of legitimate pros, sponsors, and OG's have respect for the dude cause they udnerstand what the word "SATIRE" means and that the media side of skateboarding is going way tf down hill with all the money being thrown at all the whackness. Lol that’s not what taste means, at all. Taste is discerning quality, not whether you “get it”. Just because Weck is trolling doesn’t mean it’s a good satire, or commentary. And, it’s not. The schtick is transparent and annoying.

the duffel/stevie beef been squashed. Big Brother should be collectively slapped for running that piece anyway. Corey was what, 15? He's apologized numerous times and said the entire interview was taken totally out of context (which was confirmed by Kosick in a 9club chat or something.) Duffel was handled numerous times over that situation and it got squashed when Stevie and him were on a trip to Europe. It sounds like that one interview has caused incredible hurt in that dudes life and he seems genuinely sorry for the dumb shit he said (not defending that interview w a ten foot pole, but it's obvious BB kept putting his hand near the flame). Duffman has admitted he's dumb, and Stevie let it go.

I suppose it depends on how you look at it. Definitely did way more than my fair share of criticizing and hating on the industry, but I don't know if I was ever "doing some trolling comedy stuff". I never did anything in hopes of getting into a public beef with a pro or to make myself into some sort of celebrity.

Also I just find Weck's gig to be dumb and easy. A skateboarder "pretending" to be a raw jock kook and acting like a raw jock kook is actually just a raw jock kook.

Everyone "gets" what Weck is doing, it's not some nuanced, profound meta-satire for only the most discerning of tastes like you're pretending it is.

I'm not saying I'm team Weck, and I'm not saying I'm team Stevie, but someone needs to point out that giving yourself a pro board on your own brand despite having not done anything in seven or eight years is very much acting as a "self proclaimed pro skateboarder" and not at all like a "real pro."

Beyond that, I hope "skating backyards" was a subtle, yet spicy dig at pool skaters.

I followed Weck after he got D Way all hot and bothered and unfollowed him a couple weeks back when I realized he has done anything interesting since. Like selling a stock right before it skyrockets. Nothing I enjoy more than an angry moron who thinks the best way to prove how not angry they are is to type lol and lmfao over and over  in a manic fashion.
