Yup just ordered a pair. DC site has 4 colors all on sale. They are having shipping delays (about a week) but they’re giving 20% off as a result. And shipping is free. I had to.

I doubt New Balance is even distributed in Brazil. That country is a shit-show business-wise. Super high import tariffs that are supposed to promote local manufacturing with does not actually exist. Actual result of this is very high prices on legit goods, and lots of bootleg products. Think Trump reads slap?

We have NBs here, although I've never seen anything about it on and off skateboarding, shoes don't seem to be really expensive too. If there's a good thing here is the local shoe brands anyway.

Tiago is my dude. I cant belive that little kid from Jaguariuna who I meet the first time and played skate with him is one of biggest name in industry.
Im glad for him being rich with skate. But DC was a really good fit for him, he was turning  the new Kalis for the brand.

I for one care a lot more about an entire skateboard shoe company than one pro skater. DC employs hundreds of people, supports many skateboarders, invests in skateboarding as a whole and has for decades. The entire reason that core skateboard brands are dying off left and right is because of your exact way of thinking, the good of ONE over the good of MANY. Money money money, me me me. Fuck that selfish, greedy bullshit.

Do ppl really think skaters owe shit to the company. Honestly the reality of it Tiago probably would’ve got kicked off dc after he’s out of his prime anyway. While I think Dc has its place in the industry if they can’t cut the check for him take it. Remember there is no retirement plan in skating. A good percentage of these older pros are stuck working a shitty job bc they dropped out to turn pro.

Well put. After all, Nike, adidas and NB all legitimized their place in skateboarding by sponsoring top notch riders and taking them away from skater owned brands. They were able to that by having a huge financial backing aka. being capitalist bullies. Just goes to show how easily the market forgets and moves on like nothing happened.
