whats up with the salems? hows the sizing and how do they skate?
[close]
Probably my favorite of all the States i have skated so far. This pair is my 3rd.
they fit TTS, I love them, the flick is great, the grip is great and they are good to go straight out of the box. I back them 100%
[close]

Toe box looks narrow/very cons like - I need some mids/highs - are they pointy/narrow?
I don't think they are narrow or very pointy, I put on cons and they look like santa's workshop elf shoes compared to these.

I haven't measured it over the bolts but it has a slight taper, definitely doesn't feel like a 9

I had the shape that's the same as that but 9.125 ("necromancer," don't know if they still make it). It tapered down to like 8.6/8.7 on the trucks. It didn't feel that much bigger than an 8.5.

Thanks! I have ace 55s on my cruiser, before I knocked out the normal kingpin on the mag baseplates to put the krux ones in, I tried putting my ace 55 hangers on the mag plates, didn't seem like it would work/fit like they did on the 44s, so I would be careful with that. You can definitely still use the krux kingpin and bushings for ace 55s though. I had those bushings in my 55s before I set this up, so now theyre perfectly broken in right away.

I have no idea either haha. I was somewhat apprehensive about buying from their site too because they seemed so obscure, but everything went well so I got no complaints.

I've been skatings them consistently for a while, my setup is a page or two back. I posted some picks of the shape on recent purchase thread.
They are pointy with a mellow concave. PS Sticks

First few sessions in almost 5 months after a noggin' slam. So Im full helmet all the time now, even curb slapping. White Protec full cut. Way better than the normal shape that flops around on your head.
Anti Hero T-Mo with that square shovel nose. 8.4/32.25 with a 14.5wb. My 2nd one, the last one had the Our Life graphic and DVD.
Ace 44s with 2 washers on the inside of the axle to space the wheels a bit wider.  A wider deck and I would want the Ace 55. Stock bushings, but Ive put 1 new set of pivot cups, and might need another on the front. Its looser than owl shit, and got a few wheel bites yesterday that sent me flying in a bad way.
Bones STF 55mm Rayborn V5 shape. Might be the biggest STF they make, not sure.
My first Bronsons G3s.  First time not riding Bones Swiss in like 13 years or so. I used to pop the shields on my Swiss once the lube burned off, but not sure about these. I got them for Xmas, just before Bronson Shieldless came out. I used the bearing spacer for the first time in years too. Def notice the difference skating bowls but really none jammin curbs or pushing blocks.
Vans Pro Mids. Was on the Nike kick for a while, but have a homie that works for Zappos and sent me 2 pairs while I was laid up hurt from my noggin. The heal is a little loose on these and I def fucked up skating a new deck and new Vans. Shit was so gripped up, I couldnt do shit on my first session. Its a little better now. Prob go back to Nike if I dont get more free Vans.
Jessup gripe, which I think isnt as good as it used to be. My last few decks the grip was peeling and ripping off the edges, but it could be from the Florida heat and sun.

quality setup and post right there. glad to hear youre getting back on the board. sorry to nerd out, but back in like 2010 I had a set of bones stf 60mm "double standards", kind of a conical shape, not sure why I remember that at all... but yea they were the last set of bones ive ever had. back on the spitfire ride for the last like 5-6 years. never going back.

You don't like those shoes? I'm skating in a pair of that exact shoe and I like them a lot. I'm coming off a long string of Nikes and I think the mids are super comfortable. The toe shape took some getting used to but I think they're real good.
