Longtime lurker here , I just started posting recently
I’m always messing with my shit / switching shit around ..

Currently:

Glue 8.5 / 14.5wb (same full shape as Quasi longer 8.5s..)

8.5 Slappy Lows w/ Ti kingpins w Ti nuts , I had sitting around

1/8 Ace risers

52 F4 Conical Full

Mishmash bearings, mostly dry Reds no shields (whatever spins good n loud from my parts box , basically)

Mishmash 1” hardware, mostly Ti..

Cant recall on grip- maybe Mob

House slips

Only other thing maybe to note is that I always do 1 layer of painters tape between board and trucks (and also between riser and trucks, if I’m running risers..)

2025 setup. Moving from Thunder to Indy then Tensor for a bit due to Indy’s setup got stolen, i can say Ace really restores back my skating confidence. Can’t wait to get back my tricks i lost for the past couple of years.

Ace 55 hollows
5 years old 53mm F4 CF Spitfire

my local indoor was still too slippery for 93s. the 88's have been the answer to zero slipouts whatsoever. for outdoor I won't ever use them, I'm gonna go back to spitfire 97s and try the new updated formula in those.

Sticking rails on a board just to try. Anyone got advice from what I have seen on other slappy/bowl setups they seem to only go at best an inch in from the side.

If you want to do lots of feeble/ hurricane combos you can go further in than an inch. also look at where your wheels might bite the rail (you can always bend them tp avoid this as well). but generally speaking an inch is a good starting point.

bitd, we'd always have them more toward the edge of the deck. this can give a bit more control with smiths and slides, as some of the deck (depending on the concave) will also slide.

Depends on the board. Got an 80s reissue where the rails are about 1/4" in and have a Crailtap Phawt with the rails 1.5" in.

It’s a Tony gargoyle deck having fun on that shape first 80s shape I have ever really tried so I’ll try 1/4 and move out as I see fit.

Nice. Rails also don't have to be straight. You can bend them easily enough to the shape of the deck. enjoy.

This may be slightly poor taste, but https://thisskateshop.com/ has an online shop of all their product. The owner is the fucking man and has battled some rough Midwest sales seasons while chalking some days up as a complete zero.  If anybody on here doesn’t have a local and wants a place to shop online, I highly recommend it!  You’ll often get a little something extra thrown in your package!
I’ve never been to North Dakota but I have the This x Todd Bratrud propagandhi shirt and the fact alone they made that shirt means I hope they stay in business forever.

!!!!Gatzke is so stoked on that one.  Their shop merch is always good.  And their shop decks are really good and there’s usually a few different graphics to choose from.  Todd lives like an hour north of Fargo so he collars fairly often with THIS.

the pitch is that I’m covering for a week so I’ll be packing boxes… he’s got insurance so I wasn’t guilt tripping.  That’s just the reason for me covering. Are you ok?

Hoddle 8 didn't really check the wb this time with black magic grip. The nose is rather steep but I'm coming from a easy rider board.
Venture lows. Standard baseplate on the back and v8 with shortened wheelbase on the front. Stock bushings. Really good bushings for being stock.
50mm classics with old ass hell swiss six, cleaned and relubed. Roll like new.
Shorty's lights hardware.

Been skating japan pros mostly. The wood colorway is so good. The shoe feels the most natural on my weird foot and grips like a mf. Bought a second Wood colorway. Shout out to Familia Skateshop.
