Ordees a stack of boards from Baltimore board brewery. South central wood. The wood grain paired well with off white of the wheels

Awesome having Baltimore Board Brewery so close!

It's not close to, but still better than getting boards from the West Coast, but my Local woodshop just reduced their minimums last week.

that’s got to be one of the sickest names I’ve heard for a board company.

8.25 Generator/BBS board (hand screen printed by me)
Lurpiv 150 (inverted Acer Racing kingpin)
Spitfire 93s Radial 54mm
Ace bearings
7/8" allen shorty's
jessup
dusted Asics Japan Pro

The print is sooooo good. Curious to see it after a few boardslides.  Did you do this screen just for the board?
Do you do it at home diy or do you work with printing often ?

I had printed this graphic about a year ago, but I did have to expose a new screen to print it again. Just printed 3 of them this time around, but when I do print boards I usually print 10-20 at a time. I just do it every so often, maybe a 2-3 times a year, mainly as a hobby. I first started doing it back in 2020 when I spent my stimulus check on 50 blanks from Generator.

I don't have a workshop, I just do it in my apartment
(although to be fair, for a time I did have access to a woodshop where I made screen frames, squeegee handle, etc. but now I just have some cheap power tools I use a home)

Oh shit! I watched your videos a bajillion times when I was trying to screen print. I think ultimately the screen I had a was too small and too tight to print on the curve.

Still I loved the boards you did.

Oh wow! I do a lot of (hobbyist) t-shirt screen printing and I have considered trying it on boards, and these were definitely the first two videos that popped up in my feed whenever I searched for it

Love that you’re pulling up year old setups lol. Yeah this one was a touch too long for my tastes, and the nose and tail were steep too so i was airballing all my kickflips. I think the trucks and wheels or maybe the angle i shot the photo exaggerate the longness though. I still have this one though I should prob give it another shot, maybe i’ll like it more the next time around
[close]

Might be the sort of board that the double drilled / V8 baseplates would work on very well.

Just a thought anyway.

Apparently they don’t make V8s in lows yet, so I bought some and swapped out the hanger and bushings with some 5.2 lows I already had. Also, I put some different, smaller wheels on it than what were featured in the previous image of this board. Only done like 10 minutes of flatground but I think I like it better than how it used to feel with normal trucks, noseslides and switch noseslides feel really good with it. I’ll report back later with more thoughts in the venture thread

So good!

The number of sets of trucks I have drilled out now just to make Venture (and some other trucks) easier to skate on a number of boards that were beyond me is too many to mention, but really I am super stoked on having the ability to change things up now.

Surprised how easy some of these boards are now, compared to how they were, even if it does almost lighten them up too much, but also once you have a set of those baseplates (or even just one) you can use it as a template to drill out other trucks too if needed.

Gone since 1988.  I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

8.5 14.25 wb krooked, Black Magic grip with a stripe.
FTCxVenture with forged baseplates to lower the height and extend the wb.
Spitfire f4 classics that are around 49mm or 48mm to lower the height a bit. Swiss 6.
Shorty's light hardware.

Board feels hella flexy compared to my smaller boards. It makes sense that a bigger board is flexy, more space to put weight and flex the fuck out of it. My other board is 8 with 14.25 Real and it doesn't flex as much but I'm getting used to it after 2hrs of so of skating it.

Still skating japan pros in wheat cw.
