Found this deck in storage. I think I got it for like $30? I just wanted to try a shaped board. I don’t have time to go to a shop for another set of trucks so I’m riding that magic carpet.

that would be crazy if your skin was made of hammers.

I honestly like the deck. It’s BBS and mellow all around. What’s weirder is I was thinking of trying Krux on it just for fun because I don’t want to spend too much on a goof off board.

I skate a lot. Like a lot a lot. I've got an itch that can't be scratched

@TheCrimsonShroud they were itching to give those boards away at the time. A buddy of mine who worked for Boardriders gave me a bunch of promo codes for their brands. I honestly wish I had the foresight to get more boards because the shape is genuinely good

This deck for me has gone through many iterations. I got it originally to learn slappies. Then it just became to “fun” board with 45mm wheels, but now as a cruiser it’s nice.

Really like the LED slimeballs.

The imgur link is borked but I looked them up and I’m kinda bummed because the place I just ordered my rictas from also had those slimeballs on sale. Also kinda wish I’d gotten more decks in the element sale. The only popsicle I got was a Jaakko deck that’s too narrow for my tastes.

switched over from an uncle freddy shovel nose that was supposedly 8.25 x 31.82 x 14.13, but was closer to 8.15 x 31.5 x 14, to a BBS shop deck that's a true 8.25 x 32 x 14.25. Not sure if the photo really shows how much different the shape is while not being a "shaped" deck

the freddy deck, a switch to ACES from destroyed 159s, and STFs from old loopholes, made this the funnest skateboard i've ridden in a long time but coming back to the slightly larger deck feels a bit more powerful. Aside from that, if i could, I'd ride that freddy shape exclusively. really fun and responsive set up, reminiscent of what i was skating in high school.

otherwise, it's

Couldn't resist the good deals on 303boards shop decks at $33 with an extra 25% of on GSD (unexpectedly came with free jessup too!). Wound up painting over the part of the graphics I didn't like and didn't let it dry long enough, which wound up having (I think) a cool effect.
Everything else the same as my last setup.

How do you like the Winkowski @pops Im a huge fan of his and shaped boards..but haven't put the two together yet.
[close]

Hi! I got the winkowski for same reasons. ;D I have skated it for very little time so far, though. I skated some Heroin eggs (last board was 10" symmetrical egg) before it and this board is very different. It's pretty stubby but has 15" wheelbase. There's no proper nose so you can't really do nollies, noseslides etc. It's been fun to cruise around with but I'm not fully used to it after riding big eggs. I really like it so far and they look gorgeous (awesome art!) but can't say much more yet because I havent skated it very much. I'm planning to skate some curbs/slappy tomorrow and miniramp next week so I'll report you back.
[close]
I've been riding this exact board for a little over a month now. So far it's been a blast.  I love the cruise missile concave on these boards.  They actually flip super fast.  The only thing that took me a second to get used to is that the tail has two angles on it.. from the truck base to mid-tail, then to mid tail to end of tail. Hope that makes sense haha
[close]

Yup there's a rocker in the middle and on the tail. Takes a bit to get used to. I treflipped and hardflipped this board first go and was positively surprised. 😄

I've had three sessions with the winkowski and I think Im done. It isnt very functional for my purposes and dont really like the shape overall. Back to Heroin boards.

Decided today that I absolutely hate 8” decks. I feel like I’m standing on a toothpick. Other dims on it are usable, and it flips faster, but I just have no motivation to get used to it. Gonna see if I can get the Indys working on 8.25 decks because I don’t hate them.

Element Jaakko 8”

I ride 8” trucks on 8.25s and it’s great. I skate ventures though. You can always make them a little wider by putting 3 or 4 speed rings on the inside of the wheels

Back on the trusted Ishod 8.5 twin after my Label 8.75 finally gave out and I couldn't make the Foy 8.5 twin work because it was way too flat. Not too hyped to break in new trucks on a new deck but sometimes it can't be helped.
