Currently riding:

8.25 DGK logo deck (white)
Indy 139mm trucks
Bones STF
Bones red bearings
Grizzly tape
Suede vans

Sorry about the vague-ish description - I'll edit the details and a picture later.

I came from - 15 years ago though - a 7.75 deck (Element) and the difference feels immense.
While I'm still at a beginner stage, I'm having more issues flipping the board.

Was wondering if you guys could suggest a good deck/brand for street or overall flip tricks.
I'm also considering trying an 8.0 deck, I could perhaps use my old 7.75 deck trucks on it.

Or just skate a 7.75.

Try 8.0, you like it then rock it. Way more options the 7.75

yeah buddy. Just try an 8’ deck with your 139 Indy’s should
Be fine.

If you want to use the trucks from your 7.75 set up
I assume they are 5.0 or 129mm they should be good for anything up to a 7.9’ deck

I dont think I’ve ever posted helpful bs before

I started getting a lot better when I went back to college and started taking a lot of math classes when I was 31.

I figured out how to figure things out better, if that makes sense.

Are all D.O.A. boards pointy? Been considering ordering one and a pointy nose/tail would seal the deal.

I think that run was two shapes - pointy and blunt.  The new boards are either medium concave or the "flat as fuck" mold, neither of which are too pointy or too blunt

that run did indeed have a pointy and round.
trying to get used to the pointyness of the deck due to my last DOA being full shaped. I love full shapes and flat decks sooo this one feels off but it's pop is really good.

Flexin with those AirMaxes. In all seriousness, do you skate them? How well do they skate?

look at the toe. It has the Kickflip rip on the suede. my dumbass forgot to put a bit of shoegoo.
They skate all right. They have boardfeel on the front of the shoe but the height of the heel feels off at first. I got used to them, but feel scared of rolling my ankles cause of the height. Overall I like em  :)

Just spend the Swiss money tbh, super reds are kinda garbage. Reds are garbage. I usually only fuck with square wheels
