im just fuckign with you man. ace trucks are dope. to my dismay having more than one setup really fucks with me,

Thanks for bringing my insecurities to the forefront asshole. All this lockdown and reduced skating isn't good for gear madness. I don't have enough spare wheels (yet) to have multiple setups. I asked about Ace trucks because I never learned to carve a bowl properly, I've tic tac instead of getting a carve in and eat shit repeatedly. Thought I would try a wider setup and carvey trucks would help get me to learn them. But I don't skate enough to justify multiple setups.

I only would consider hoarding boards since they are pricey in my country ($75) and I'm thinking of selling the graphic boards I wouldn't ride and skate nothing but BBS boards from Tactics.

New deck and Wheels

Business & Company Bunny 3 8.25" x 31.75" with 14" WB
Venture Hi 5.6 with Indy bushings
Spitfire F4 52mm 99a Radials (coming from Spitfire F4 54mm 99a Tablets worn down to 50mm)
MOB
Bones Swiss
Thunder 1"

Probably gonna add stickers or something later, I don't know yet.

What is the nose and tail length on the B&C board? How steep are the kicks?

Nose: 6.75"
Tail: 6.18"

I haven't had the chance to skate it yet, but both kicks are mellow as fuck. Concave is pretty flat too.

Also they measure the length by bending the ruler to the board's shape, so if you measure boards from tail to nose without bending the ruler, it's 31.25"

thats a huge tip. was looking into their 8.75 at 32" length but if its really gonna be 31.5 long, easy pass.

Yeah after I received it and measured it, I was kinda scared that a whole 0.50" was going to fuck with my skating since I'm used to FA/Hockey's 31.75"

Skated it today and it's probably one of the best shapes I've ridden. I'm a smaller person, and the mellow kicks and flat concave combined with a shorter length and Ventures just made everything click. I could land things way easier where I usually had to warm up to do. Ollies and related tricks are way easier to bone out and pop shuvs are super easy to rotate.

Only shortcoming I can really thing of is the pop isn't as heavy as I'd like it to be since I'm used to that, but I'd say it's overlooked by the actual performance of the board.

Mellow kicks and flat concave also has me worried the board may break easier, but I think that's just in my head. Time will tell.

i'm not even sure what size the trucks are, but I think they probably are 149s.  i had them on a 8.3 before and they fit these pretty well

Polar 8.25
Ace 44 (no bottom washers)
F4 55mm 99a

Coming down from my 10.5” Scram and 9.75” Dane1, this will be interesting... Almost want to try Classic shaped wheels. Pros/cons over Conical Full?

Yooo Dailys. Seen this on their insta, nice one man.
Been eyeing up a pair of Aces but keen to smoke my current thunders before buying yet another set of trucks.

I just switched to conical fulls after riding classics for a short period, I kept slipping out and getting wrecked on slicker parks. The shape is nice but I like the confidence and grip conical fulls give me on transition, regardless of the (minimal) added weight.

dope, now I’m amped to set mine up!
I also went with 56mm (loopholes) just cuz I wanted to max the benefit out of the wheel wells. Good to hear you’re still able to pop. The nose seems super mellow, it doesn’t ghost pop?

Yeah not very nice of me, but I thought the same: when I talk shit, I expect to get it back. I’ve heard he can be petty. Sounds like a lot of that shit is personal to Pontus/them. Opposed to say toy machine/Krooked that are kinda just stamping out shit (I like/love/have loved both of those companies I used as examples)
