Quasi 8.75
Venture 6.1
Thunder risers 1/8”
Spitfire Classic 60mm
Bones Reds
Jessup
Vans Era Pro, gonna swap insoles to FP Kingfoams

Missed being on bigger board. Mostly skating flatground during winter since everything is closed because of covid. Always prefered bigger wheels but time will tell if 60mm is too much. Really stoked though how they look, also like my setup as heavy as possible.

Eras were cheap, also been on slipon/thin vulc shoe kick lately. Only bad thing about slipons is that after few sessions they start to feel too unsafe so figured that these were the next best thing.

Can't wait to try it out after my quarantine is over.

So nice...I have wanted to setup something similar for a while now.. How is it for flip tricks?

Gonna let you know as soon as my test comes out negative, can't wait for the test drive!
Hell yeah man, good luck!

I didn't do nearly as much skating as I wanted to this year. That said, I'm staying hopeful that I'll spend more time on the board in 2021 and figured I'd switch things up a bit.

8.25" it feels MUCH steeper and more blunt than I remember...
148 Hollow lites (stock bushings but with bones washers top and bottom)
51 spitabs
Swiss6

Grip

Now that it's setup, I think I've been on rounded full/pointy much too long...and think I prefer it now...

Best length for me, this looks like a good time

Yeah it feels really nice standing on it. Hopefully I'll have a chance to roll around this weekend.

(Nose on the left, tail on the right)

I would say steeper than medium without feeling too steep. The overall concave looks/feels nice for the width as well.

There is nothing flat about this deck tho, super steep (more than I remember my other protos) maybe I got a top of the stack?

Yeah!!!

That is some serious nose wear, right through a layer of ply to the side - crooks or some other heavy nose slide / grind action?

Same board size and dimensions as what I ride too, the 8.38 x 32.25 with a 14.5 wheelbase.

I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

They are slightly larger than stock, so it prevents this... where the bushing squeezes out from under

@TheLowerBack  they’re a little bigger than the ace washers so they “contain” the top bushing. The top ace bushings can sometimes pop out of the stock washers (ymmv; if they’re tightened when new). Happened ever so slightly with my 55’s on the first day but I just loosened em a touch popped the bushing back and rode em for a while and they’re perfect. And now okay to tighten if needed. Love em.

Cool, makes sense. They don’t dig into the hanger? I’ve seen people on here saying that’s the main problem with Venture.

The newer stock ACEs (the dual duro ones) work amazing in Ventures, provided you use a low top, essentially you need to buy both a low and regular set to do this...or you could dual duro some indy aftermarkets or Deluxe Bait and Tackles.

Sick! I love when grind/slide marks can give you an indication of stance/trick preference. Board is looking good skated up!
Also, I feel the struggle on the FS tricks.

Orchard deck by Robbie Gangemi 8.1
(L: 31-7/8"
WB: 14-1/8"
N: 7
T: 6-7/8")
Indy 139 (were on my girlfriends deck but she's over it for the time being).
Spitfire F4 Classics were 54, maybe 52mm now.
Bones Swiss
Allen hardware

Bummed that it's raining today. My first observation of the wood is it sounds great, feels great. Standing on the board, I like  the shape and concave (fairly mellow to medium). The nose and tail look almost absurdly long when looking at the bottom of the deck, but I'm excited to see how this shape works for me. Am I gonna have a good time with tail and nose slides now? I'm the type who likes to switch it up.

Haha I used my skate tool as a file and it left some marks that bothered me. I had to use the excess grip to scratch the whole board, creating a diversion!

My girl agrees, her reaction was “the wood looks beautiful”.
