God damn, this is a perfect popsicle set up, in my opinion.

Tangentially related, can we get some more Dane footage? I’m dying for some new shit from him. I know he was in the polar rico video from 2019 but I think that’s the last shit he’s been in?
[close]
There’s a pretty sick photo of him in the Mason SOTY Thrasher. Gave me hope that there’s something coming soon.

I often find my self going back to i like it Here, and We Blew it At Some Point to watch some Dane footage, and I certainly think we are due. I know him not always putting stuff out and being kind of off the radar adds to how special his parts are, but I still would love something new.

Hockey AA 8.25
Indy Ti 149 with bones hards
F4 conical fulls 55mm
bones swiss

First Hockey/FA shape. Takes some getting used to but love it so far, would reccomend.

Damn that looks nice.
How different are Hockey/FA shapes to usual DLX shapes? I am contemplating if I should get a Hockey, Quasi or Killing Floor next. They all have that ~31.75 length I adore so much. Never had one of these brands before but it is getting harder to find AWS decks with that length in Germany.

"8.38" Toy Machine, this deck is actually more of an 8.5 throughout and tapers to 8.38 on the tail. really love the pointy tail and mellow concave on this one. this deck was also listed at 32.25+ on several sites, but actually measures in at 31.8, just goes to show you never really know what you're getting when you purchase online.

Thunder 149s, stock everything
Spitfire F4 52mm radial slims.
generic CCS bearings with the damn shields coming off all the time. i'm taking them off as they lift up
Emerica Dissents, just a simple pointy cupsole. got one more pair on deck for the rest of the year

*side question: what is the difference between Radial Slim, Tablet and Lock-In shapes? they all seem pretty similar.

Radial slims are a little more rounded, Tablets are more squared and have a tiny bit more riding surface and the lock ins are wider in general and asymmetrical, so the inside is square and the outside is more rounded.
In the end they are all very similar

If I go on feel the shape is flatter concave with steeper kicks, small square tail and massive steep nose. DLX is more rounded popsicle with slightly more of a concave but mellower kicks.

I've had the 8.25 alien before and its very much in between the Hockey and standard DLX, big nose and tail but more rounded. Cant go wrong with any of the above but like i said I'm on my first Hockey/FA shape and it being on the far side of the spectrum it feels really good and functional. I say try it, if its not for you then you know.

I do however notice its fairly stiff and heavy but i like it with the indy ti's (bbs pressed)

Do you find the Real a lot bigger than the Jart board overall?

Just curious as the Real is the size I ride and others always say it is big (besides the fact I like an 8.38 that is more like an 8.5 too).

I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

It doesnt feel bigger to me in terms of width, maybe because its longer than the Jart. I really like it, tried it on indys also, but with Thunder it feels much better.

Was having some bad skate luck with my last deck so I set up a new board and everything’s been clicking for some reason:

FA AVE 8.5
Ace (classics) 55s
Spitfire F4 97a 54 mm conical fulls
Bronson raws
Mob
Bones hardware

The 97a’s took a day to get used to but they’re fantastic.

Your homey's skating is really enjoyable to watch & makes that board look really fun.
Props to you, your decks, and your homey.

Also, somebody else already said it, but your tape job is worthy of a little acknowledgement as well.

Brought this deck back out to try the aces on a smaller pop with steep kicks/concave for some flatground. Think the 8.75” hockey is in my future. Also have a polar 1991 on ice next. And the 97a are amazing.

Less! My top pic gives an accurate representation
