This ones an anomaly for me. I don’t like the squared off PS Stix shapes that are popular nowadays. I haven’t really liked PS boards in general since the original Alien ended. I also don’t like boards with more wood stain than graphic. A friend gave me a few WKND boards to skate and I’m appreciative for that

Forgot to get a pic before today’s session. Last of my Native decks, looking forward to the quasi/fa boards I have on deck.

Native 8.5 (Clutch O9 shape)
Venture 5.8 standards with DLK
Old 52mm F4 classics 99a
Swiss
7/8” allen
Plain jessup

[close]

Was swapping to a DLK worth the effort? Trying to hammer the kingpin out seems like more effort than I'm willing to commit.

I don’t think it is TBH probably won’t do it again. You don’t hang up on smiths, but then the balance point is gone too so my nose on bs smiths fall to the ground a lot of times. Hard to explain but it’s trading one problem for another, and plus it’s a whole ordeal to install them.

7.9 dwindle flat shape, like real flat
ace 33
bones swiss
spitfire 52mm
compulsive doodle grip

took it my local secret covid curb a couple times this past weekend (pics from before) to skate some flatground. took a sec to get used to how flat it is.

anyone else ride ace 33's? if so what size board are you riding?
[close]

Cool Pezo, pleasing board to look at.
Thanks! It was kinda fun to skate but ultimately too flat.
Got some Pezo stickers with a DFW zine and the board needed some life added to it

The art on the grip works, very cool.
Thanks! Appreciate that.
Hadn't drawn on my board in a long time. Back to full grip on current set up

Primitive 8.25"X31.875x14"WB - painted, because Primitive/DBZ, but I love this shape and it’s the only 14” WB I can ride.
Leftover mix of Mob and Jessup Ultra
Chocolate hardware (might as well be shorty's bolts but they stay black)
Thunder 148 Hollow lights, stock bushings (shaved down top) sleeved machined washers
51/50mm-ish Bones V3s + Wheelbite
Bronson Ceramics
Santa Cruz Slimline rails
Adidas Puig Premier Crystal White/Sunglow (launch colorway)

Baker 8.25 Jacopo
Spitfire Tablets originally 54mm now down to like 45
Thunder 148s with the Thunder 95a medium bushings
Shortys Hardware 7/8 phillips
Spitfire Cheapshots
DC Legacy 98 Slims
It's crazy but I used to be all about the all about the AWS 8.25s with the square nose and deep concave. Got the Baker board which is a complete opposite and I fucking love it. I find it that the mellow concave makes it more friendly to learn and land flatground shit. I have learned so much shit in this board (not only flat) I'm definitely a mellow concave pointy board dude now.

Set up a curb cruise board

Re - Issued Rudy Blind board. Have no idea what measurements.

Thunder 149ers with Bones bushings, Bones reds, classic spitfire 50mm.

Need wider trucks?

Nice!  Yeah, either 159's or some wider wheels would probably look a little more balanced.  Works, though!

Well thanks for all the kind words y’all!

Just had my first sesh on it and it was an absolute blast. Landed some stuff I normally struggle with. I can safely say that this will not be my last darkroom, especially with this shape.

Yeah that is a good shape, which reminds me of some of the boards I had just as shapes were becoming more like paddlepops in maybe 1991 to 1992.

Also cool that a few places like Tactics and Old Skull list all the dimensions too, which are both the same for the nose and tail:

9.125" wide
14.375" wheelbase
6.625" tail
6.375" nose
31.5" length

Like an ever so slightly smaller version of the AH Huffer, with a slightly more squared off tail?

Is it a touch under 9 at the front and a bit less than that at the back?

I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

**Edit**
@Mbrimson88 just got home and measured

Over the front trucks: 8.75”
Over the back trucks: 8.375”

But it did remind me quite a bit of an egg with a slightly more squared off tail, which is probably why I enjoy it so much.

That being said I don’t find it that similar to a scaled down huffer, the closest I have found to a scaled down version of that shape is the black label Reuter egg, which is just about perfect in every way.

What it does remind me of though is a scaled down version the polar 1991 with a slightly longer wheelbase. I happened to really enjoy my polar 91/92 decks, but wasn’t crazy about the shorter wheelbase. This having a slightly longer wheelbase makes it much more enjoyable for me. My only wish is that either the polars or this had at least a 14.5 wheelbase, then it would be fucking perfect.
