Damn I’m a big fan of this. Looks like a blast.
I’d skin my knee and palms so bad on my buddy’s jump ramp with that thing.

My bad, they are the 146 size stage 4's. I honestly hate the shape, and never want to skate shapes besides popsicles these days but I only got it due to the insanely short wheelbase, I had to try it. It tapers quite a bit at the back truck, so 146 or some Ace 44's with wide wheels are perfectly lined up. The front truck part of the deck is a bit wider but it doesn't look super magic carpet or anything.

This is the set up that cured my madness.
It’s been a long and stressful process with a lot of money spent but I finally find myself back to where i started in the first place

Limosine Cyrus Bennett 8.38
Venture hollows 5.8
Spitfire 53mm
Bones reds

I have a curb set up and a cruiser but this is the board I skate pretty much everything on and I absolutely love it, I am so excited to save money now haha

(I blame the set up thread for all my madness and all your photos of your different, amazing setups)
[close]

Im currently skating essentially the exact same setup.  The Limo 8.38 shape on 5.8’s seems to work so well.  Glad you found a cure to your board madness

[close]

Sick! Looks lovely!

Yeah it just feels rad, I don’t see Limosine going anywhere any time soon as well so it’s nice knowing that I’ll just be able to keep buying the same deck :) do you see yourself sticking to that set up? And have you always skated ventures?

Nah, I’m not a Thunder fan but I jump around between Ace, Venture, and Indy.  I like Ace classics 44s or Venture 5.8s for these size boards.  Usually Indy for bigger boards…

- Palace Lucien Clarke 8.25
- Venture V-Hollow Lights 5.8 w/Bones Bushings
- Spitfire FF Classics 52mm
- Bronson Raws
- Jessup Grip
- Shortys Hollow Hardware

The qualitity of Palace graphics is awesome! Besides thier Hyperbeast, the season drops they push out are in my eyes total eclectic.
Your setup rocks :)

Pretty different setup from what I'm used to.

GT Partytime Tea deck / Anti-Hero 8.38 x 14.5
Mob grip
Indy Stage 10 139s - newish bushings out of a kit
53mm Spitfires F4/101a
Bones Race Reds

Probably one of my favorite graphics in the last year, love me some sleepytime tea.

Just picked this up from my local, still unsure if I'm setting it up or hanging it on the wall

Wow is that a GT soty board? If I were you I would hang that one up
[close]

It's an Alien x Thrasher collab, shop owner said he got a heads up and ordered a few in advance. Definitely leaning towards hanging it, mostly because it's bigger than my preferred size (it's an 8.5) Also picked this other one up for my bud
[close]

Wow.  What shop just curious?

Krown SkateShop in Salinas, CA. They also had a missing link board but with Phelps at the end instead of the usual character. Snagged a picture of their wall, you can kinda make it out on the bottom right.

As someone who ended up skating decks I initially copped as a wall hanger and regretted it, I'd sit on it for a few days and think about it man. That's a sick one to hold on to.

Here it is with Gullwing Pro IIIs, and G&S Plaid wheels.

Thanks (and also to the person above).

Ya I'm 6ft5 size 13. Normally skate an 8.38-8.5 with indys or ventures but kinda wanted something that was a bit more compact to see how that might benefit some of my flatground and maybe ledge. Took it out for a spin today.

Haven't skated low trucks in years and I'm coming from 149 indys so yeah, the turn is limiting. Smooth but very very shallow. I don't really mind it though, don't need that much turn for my kind of skating anyway.

Love the feeling of the pop, and its really stable. Nice low effort flatground setup, lets you focus more on the form of the trick rather than all your effort into flicking really hard

But definitely less margin for error than on my usual 8.5 ish setup when you land off center. Easier to fall off, trucks don't give that much and then you just fall off the board. Thats partially the low trucks and partially the fact that the board and trucks are half an inch skinnier.

Most ledge tricks are a bit harder, especially slides. Half my foot dragging on the ledge. Front tails are the worst because you sit on those kinda flat footed. But reg n sw back tails are ok because you tend to tiptoe on those. Again when you do land a trick proper it feels very very nice.

Once thing I do like about skinnier boards is the fact that you stand more on your toes when you pop for ledge tricks and I feel like it helps me be a bit more precise.

I thought such a tiny board would make me cautious and skate slower but I didn't find that to be the case which is nice.

Definitely skate a bit worse overall on this but its only been one session at a spot I haven't skated in months so I'm sure itll get better. Its good for some things and worse for other things but overall nice change of pace and pretty fun. Probably dont see myself being on this forever but who knows
