Oviedo, Spain
« on: November 25, 2019, 04:35:35 PM »
I will be in Oviedo for six weeks this summer studying abroad at the University (from Bay Area/Portland originally). I was wondering how the local scene is (welcoming, big/small) and if there are any spots in the city and surrounding area worth visiting. All I have been able to find online is a video with a bunch of clips from a spot called "Plaza de España" which seemed to be poppin.

Thanks for taking the time to read

Haven’t been to Oviedo, per se, but around the coast up there.

Tends to rain a good bit but the whole are is amazingly beautiful. The whole Asturias, Galician area is for sure some of my favorite landscape in the world. You are also close to Bilbao which is an amazing medium sized city with spots on end, hills, stairs, culture and is cheap as can be.

Bring some painting/drawing stuff or a guitar/whatever for rainy days and you’ll have the best time never wanting to leave
