Btw what company is that?
[close]

Elan, Australian brand.

Really good boards, awful graphics.
Is there any other Elan related to snowboarding? Kinda rings a bell

google says yes, there's a UK snowboard company by the same name.  no relation though.

I had a green Slap "tagger" logo beanie in the early '90s. Graffiti based clothing didn't exist outside of a few skate companies (Shut, then 101 and New Deal) so people were constantly hounding me about it. I eventually became so annoyed with all things tagging (for various reasons) that I wouldn't wear it.

Yeah seriously I should have fucking known better.

Same, guess that's the reason why the shoes are always in stock and on clearance while NB and Converse are 30% more expensive

I have to remind myself that a lot of this shit was cool at the time, everyone wasn’t just wearing dickies because that used to come with a connotation that you were a hesher or something.

I wore some wack shit but I look back at videos from those times and it’s like everyone was kinda doing that.

Except Rasta shit. Unforgivable.
You know I thought these forums were a for skating not discussing fetishes

I stole my sister's bam (guitar graphic) board. It has like 60 mm wheel with blue anodized white V ventures but someone put an old thunder hangar the one that looked more like indy the t 5?
I was lit on the bam deck is nice I really wish the trucks were complete.

I need a set on ventures so bad but I'm too poor
Ssi has me barley surviving and no one I know has a gallery that likes me enough to give me free space.

I'm so poor someone send me some old trucks you don't want

I've had a set of g3's in for almost a year and only one has seized up, which was fixed with an acetone bath. Are you guys skating exclusively in the rain or am I just exceedingly lucky with them?

My first setup was a pink Flip deck w/ green Ricta core wheels, unfortunately. I was 5, what can I say. Since my early years, I haven't really been embarrassed by any decks, but I have had some insane shoes. These semi-chunky red and blue circas that skated like absolute shit, and some cursed fucking chonky DCs and DVS i found at look Goodwill. Rly happy with my setup rn tho!

I got some G3’s right when they came out and I used them for a good 2-3 years til I got some bones Swiss a few months ago. I have the Bronson’s on a cruiser and they are faster than the bones right now. But never cracked a shield or anything on the Bronsons and I slam into slappies, wallrides and Ollie over some tall shit. I will never buy another pair because if this forum but I consider myself to be lucky

A teal crailtap t shirt. I also had the first Blind Gonz graphic in teal back in the day but that one wasn't my fault. I got it when you could only request color from the catalog companies and they sent you what they sent you. Teal is not my color.

A lot of my favorite shoes from the late 90's / early 00's are pretty embarrassing now looking back - Cardiel 1's + 2's, all the Willy Santos shoes, Cab Six's, etc.

while cool-guying is a real phenomenon, studies show that 83% of all cool-guying incidents can be attributed to the cool-guyee being an awkward weirdo

There was a picture of me in 01 or 02 with some very baggy volcom jeans and a small enjoi shirt.. that’s pretty embarrassing. I was like a 26” waist and these were probably 34s. I went to a plea for peace show dressed like that and some guy made fun of how baggy my pants were. “Cool pants bro.” I was oblivious at the time, “thanks they’re volcom.”

Young and in the mid-2000’s I was very much a fan of Girl and Chocolate which led me to ride Royal trucks and even frequently sport a red Royal shirt. It was one of my favorite shirts. Wish someone would have sat me down and explained that even though Mouse, The Chocolate vid, and yeah right were dope that didn’t mean I had to ride crail’s garbage trucks.

In truth I’m being easy on myself. Between the ages of 10 and 11 I had tensors, an Osiris backpack with speakers, huge jeans, etc.

Purple DGK t-shirt, ultra skinny jeans, Element belt, red Accel mids, lime wayfarer sunglasses and a Krew hat.

Probably the worst fit ever. Thank god I got over it fairly quick

I have an alex olsen girl deck that a friend gave to me about 5 years ago when I started skating again. It's my favourite deck but its a 7.75, so tiny but it feels so right.

I’ll sand it down eventually. That grip job IS killer carnage. The overlap is my favorite part. Who would do that?
