That’s bad ass. Curb goals. I too just want a curb I can mess with in peace.

I ride around my basement a bit too but the ceilings are pretty low. Not much popping

6" tall, 7" wide base, 4" wide top. I made my form 4' long so I had to make two for the 8' length it is (easier to lift and move around 120 lbs alone). I used construction adhesive to bond it to the floor and to affix the two lengths together.

I've made a duplicate that is currently curing to put outside of my garage so I can skate it outdoors when the weather is nice out and I have more room to fall.
Oh. I couldn't see the seam in the pic and was wondering how you were moving that 8ft beast solo.
How many bags of crete did each 4ft piece take? Don't make me look on the quikrete site and do math  ;)

Saw this in the big board thread and thought you might like it for inspiration

I used 1 1/2 bags of 80lb 5000 psi along with three (not heaping) shovelfuls of portland cement. I have three 2 liter bottles that I use to gather the rainwater I have stored in containers on my patio that use to wet down the mixture until it's the right consistency.

And that's for a 4ft section? Or the whole 8ft?
I've never messed with concrete so 120lb sounds like a lot.

But for me; 39 skating 22yrs, Im not as mental and can be happy with just cruising parks and bombing hills, occasional red curb

I hardly ever pop my board any more and im cool with it

There is a reason the oldies that still skate are just rolling around in bowls and doing slappies.
If you can find the simple pleasure of just rolling then you are good. If you can't get past what you can no longer do then it won't be fun. It's down to you whether you can find that acceptance and when it needs to happen.
The hard truth I supposed. I’ve been rolling around getting back into it the past couple months. I’ve been feeling like I need to jump down something soon just to get a little rush. Something big enough to be a little scary. But then I look at the shit I used to jump down and trip that I ever had the balls. Now it’s more like risky ledges and stuff I can ride through. I’ll probably jump down a six stair at some point but the 8 I used to session for hours and the 11 I would blast down once in a while are probably done for. Might do the 8 at some point because I used to float down that bitch all day.

Yea I’m 33, I’m definitely not progressing like I used to but I do some strength training and about thirty minutes of stretching before I even step on a skateboard, the stretching really helped me prevent injuries  and get a little warmed up before I go to the park or whatever, also I skate with people that are better than me so I can get inspired to hotdog, progress, or whatever you wanna call it, so in summation, stretching, strength training and water, good luck on keeping the stoke up and being hyped on skateboarding
You want some queso?”

Most important time to stretch is after your session when your legs are warmed up, ice is your best friend and get a hypervolt/theragun if you can afford it.

Im just getting back into it at 32 and want to skate everyday but I’m learning my body isn’t the same anymore. Used to only skate street growing up but have fallen in love with learning transition and bowl skating.

I do repetitive hard labor for work so it’s still one of the best purchases I’ve ever made.

Get one from china, it's a similar or even a superior product under 100 bucks. Read reviews before you order.

I just put in earplugs and go to town using that ghetto version on my jigsaw. My corded jigsaw cost about $30.
