I ordered a vitamix online and they gave me money back after it didn't show up after a week....next day it showed up.  Another time the ski hill was suppose to give me a free day pass and instead they gave me a seasons pass....

Visiting Machu Picchu with my girlfriend at the time for free was cool - my card just never got charged for the both of us. Technically I've gotten 'better' deals, but that one had to be one of the most satisfying.

I rented a van on Molokai and they never ended up charging me for it. Granted I couldn't really understand what they were saying at all since they had super thick pidjin accents but I never got a charge on my bank statement. Also in college a foreign exchange student bought me lunch once. My roommate thought they were trying to initiate hanky-panky but I think they were just hungry. Hungry for food to be clear. 2 JL Audio 12w3's in a B Box ported enclosure with a Kicker CX600 amp for $100 from a pawn shop.  Sales dude was a little bummed, cause he had his eye on em for payday.  Retail would have been around 800.  Used probably 400.  Not the hardest hitters in the world, but they sounded and pounded great.  Lasted about 4 years of daily abuse during my commute before one finally blew.  Upgraded subs and amps, but still have the CX and the other JL.  Probably gonna throw it in my daughter's car.

So back when I was single 2003ish and was living with a buddy at his pool house, I'd be a wingman for my tactless rollerblading homie. We'd go to raves and punk shows and I'd talk my friend up something fierce the ladies were swooned by my antics not so much my homie but whenever a gal was down for him I'd get my choice of cash or musical instrument. I've calculated at least 25k easily and he never has mentioned like umm can I get that back? nope he's an ace guy.

 I know I know it sounds lame to ask for anything to which I did not ask he made a proposition years beforehand if we go out together on the town I got your back and you got mine?  When he stepped up and asked me if I knew someone who was a lady of the night?

 I knew a few me and said prostitute would have a deal which wasn't bad. They'd get 40% and his number if something ever happened say bail money or stuck out in BFE he'd pick them up and they'd work it out in trade.

Honestly he still is my friend to this day and yes if I were single I'd chat up the ladies for him....

Back in 2017, I was trying to decide on whether I wanted a PS4 or an Xbox One so when I stumbled upon this Ebay post I couldn't resist giving it a try despite being somewhat skeptical that someone would sell an Xbox One so cheaply with that many games and free shipping. All I had to do was replace the controller cover which was no big deal.

So, when the thing arrived I wasn't able to insert my games inside of the console and I thought it must have been broken until I tried the eject button and a bonus 10th game came out. It's already 2020 and I've had zero issues with it so far, hopefully this post doesn't jinx that.



This next story is somewhat unrelated, but last year at Goodwill I noticed they made the mistake of labeling an Xbox One as an Xbox 360 and were selling it for only $30, which would have been a huge steal but I decided since I've already been lucky enough before I'll just let someone else spot it and hopefully it makes their day.
