Vans half cabs. Vans in general I usually regret but I thought I'd give them another try but I went through probably 6 different laces until I had to shoe goo them which just made them hard to loosen and tighten. And then just as I started to get used to them the soles blew out and I had holes through the bottom. And this all happened in like 2 weeks. Weakest shoes I swear.

Yep I always come back to half cans cause it's the only good looking Van's but boy oh boy do most Van's suck for.me

Regret buying this Hockey 8.125 board. Felt so steep and also kinda heavy.
Have loved every single Hockey board I've skated so it really surprised me.
recent batches have been heavier than usual. compared my hockey 8.5 to my friends 8.25 and his definitely felt heavier in hand
while cool-guying is a real phenomenon, studies show that 83% of all cool-guying incidents can be attributed to the cool-guyee being an awkward weirdo

Dude, I was so hyped on finally trying bones swiss 6, and they do feel amazing. One bearing imploded on my second session. Why can't we have nice things?

I've just resorted to riding cheap bearings and replacing them 1-by-1 as they die.

Not a regret per se, but I didn't think the WB would be as much of a factor on this board... but the Chocolate Couch shape. Super sick board (shape and graphic) and the quality doesn't feel bad, but the sub 14" wheelbase with my Indys leaves it feeling like an awkward Teck Deck most of the time. And in no way am I opening up Pandora's box on truck madness with trying anything but Indy. Haha
I'm 5'11 with an 11-11.5 shoe size by the way, so 14.25-14 5 is my ideal window. Looks like it will become a cruiser! Is this how quivers are born? Hahah

Stick some thunders on it?
I got used to my couch shape really easily, longer wheelbases are what usually give me more hassle. Guess it’s because I rode 7.75 boards for a good 15 or so years and I doubt any of them had a larger than 14.25 wheelbase

Impish sausage is definitely gonna blow up as a euphemism this year

Hahaha, I wonder if having skating pinners does have a lot to do with it. I'm pretty tall and have been getting on with the sub-14" fine. Always assumed it was because of the stuff I skate but maybe it is the fact that I skated tiny-ass boards from 1996-2012. Who knows.

I just bought the Grind King/Kreper kingpins for my trucks off eBay, after months of curiosity and seeing them on Grosso's Instagram. I haven't received them yet so I don't know how they'll skate. Maybe they're a game-changer. But I paid $30 for them (since no shops here ever carry them and eBay is the only place I could find them) and kind of regret paying $30 for a kingpin. I could buy some good cheese for that money.

An 8.25 Studio deck - tail is much too small, but that's on me for ordering sight unseen online. So a bit of regret but nothing soul crushing.

Nah, I’m gonna thug it out. They’re alright, I just wish I got the black ones because of suede. The Mariano colorway is tight though.

I've got some black suede ones in size 9 that I don't like. They're fine, some cosmetic issues that bum me out but someone else probably wouldn't care.

The Canadian Skateshop decks that came in are a bit underwhelming. Mostly because of their finish and feel.

Rode any of them yet? I got 2 during the first launch. 1st board felt great after 2 weeks and being worn in a little but it snapped on a kickflip on flat after a total of 8 session? 2nd board felt soggy after 2 weeks despite the nose and tail having plenty of life. It was fun to support Canada Skate Shop the first time but I'd probably stick with Tactics shop blanks if I wanted Generator boards. Cheaper, more variety and don't have to worry about crossing borders.

I tried swiss 6-Balls in hopes that those are even better than regular swiss. First few month were okay but now every session the bearings lock up and barely roll. I think they cant take as much lateral force as regular swiss.

Have you tried the Rowan's? They look similar to the half cabs but last way longer and skate better. Been on a pair for 4 months and still haven't tore thru the sole or mid sole.
