Having only been skating again for like 9 months, I have a decent list of shit purchases

Krux K5's, two pairs (zero turn)
9" Popsicles (too big)
8.5" popsicles (too small)
Shaped boards in general (inconsistency)
Riser pads (why)
Huge, soft wheels (why was I building cruisers for tricks)
Es Accel Slims (narroe as fuck and cheaply made)

Pretty much found my goldilocks setup now
8.75x32.5-33x14.75-15"
Royal ultra lights 8.75
Spitfire F4 classics 52mm
Mini logo bearings

I've been considering sizing up, I've been running 8.5" forever but with all the good 8.75s available it may be time... Specifically, I'm waiting for the new BA 8.8 shape that he's been testing for a while

Purchased a long time ago but set up an 8.25 quasi and had a session on it. It already feels more dead than my weeks old real. Really want to convince myself I like these boards so I can support quasi but I just can’t. Maybe I’ll try one of their bbs pressed decks but they seem to scattered throughout each season

Was in a shop yesterday that got a large Quasi order in. Yeah…a mix of PS and non PS wood it seemed. Most were PS, from what I could tell but there were a few that clearly weren’t.

Yeah I checked their site and looks like the Crockett 8.5 and the 8.3 Henry twin tail are the BBS decks this season.

Also, saw this right after opening the shrink wrap. Really PS Stix?

I’m going to have to agree on PS going down hill lately . I’ve broke a few GX boards way to quickly, seem just way flexible compared to bbs wood

Just set up an 8.125 Quasi the other day and had my first session on it today. Thirty minutes of flatground and it already feels dead.

Pretty bummed since I absolutely love the shape and dimensions of this thing.

I also noticed the green middle ply on one edge has a about a two-inch section that is discolored and cracked. It almost looks rotten. That section of ply looked like it had been filled in with putty to cover it up. I dug into it a bit with a kitchen knife and it is definitely some kind of filler.

Going back to skating a month-old steep concave deathwish that feels stiff as hell and brand new compared to this junk.

Had another sub par session with my quasi today. The whole time I just hear prof Schmitts voice saying “the rallity of the situation is, my boards just don’t work for you.”

I put some 1.5 mm risers and some bigger wheels on my Quasi to see if I can breathe some life into it and make the pop feel a little heftier.

I'm giving it one more session. If it sucks, I'm parting with it.

Ha, that fucker…

But I do like ps boards the best, even tho they are very hit or miss.
I’ve laid some to the side for a long while, came back and loved em. Not sure whats up with that. Some were sog and then dried out or something

I keep breaking ps stix , and I’m not a big dude . They’ve lost their stiffness so quick , and just get soggy to quick

DC Manteca 4.
They are comfy and the fit is good but ..
They fall apart after one session.
The leather on the toes just ripped away.
I superglue all the stitches before but that was useless.
So I shoegooed the whole shoe already after one session.
I did maybe 20 fliptricks .
Edit: And the laces broke too.
I forgot to superglue them so maybe that's my fault but I rarely break laces in one session.
All with old griptape btw.

On some grinds/slides on some ledges/curbs/rails they drag/grip/catch a lot more than a hard wheel.
They also feel a bouncier and gummier than a hard wheel
Because they're soft, they also pitch you harder if you wheelbite

So a lot of people who are hoping that these would perform just like a formula four except smoother may be disappointed

Handles rough ground incredibly though and I think as far as powerslides go they're basically just as good as a hard f4

This is a half regret, I bought those Oski spitfires the day before smaller sized radials became available again.

They’ll probably stay in the parts box for a long long time

I had the white leather ones and got a really good month. I guess runtime may very. I did glue the seems, but I do that with most shoes

Es Silos last year.  Mesh above the toe tore right away.  I’m not one to tear through shoes really.  Both tore within a week.  Cool shoe if you like that duct tape aesthetic.

Spot on assessment, the bounce made my already razor-tailed deck feel even worse than normal. But zero complains on the ride when pushing over crusty ground. Recently moved to a new apartment and I have to push a lot further to and from the the bus stop, even a F4 99a would be chore to get to the park.

Their mesh panels on their shoes rip way too easily like on my eS Everstitch models. I had to apply crazy glue to the mesh portions after the first panel tore to keep it from tearing more.

Tensor maglights,  great turn and grind, but way too light and axles bend quite easy. I am 86kg/190lbs .

Fallen Troopers. Quality is not There for skauting, but nice shoe for walking the dog.

Crailtap boards, online purchased in covid era. Wood feel varies like crazy, no consistency. Some decks are stiff and on heavy side, some of them crazy flex,  light or soggy (those returned).

I put them up for sale on classifieds already but I bought a -8.5”. Chocolate Pop Secret deck
-149mm Royal Ultra Lights
-55mm Chocolate wheels

The deck is too big for my feet as a beginner. The trucks are too light for my weight. The wheels are cool.I didn’t know when buying my first deck about the importance of concave and size and kick sizes and now I know lol

I’m on my fourth quasi board in a row, and I really don’t have any complaints about them… maybe I just got lucky?

Having said that, I do have an itch to try a bbs board again after this one is done.
