I really dislike camo pants.
I know I should like Zereds skating, but I just can’t.
I’ve been pretty vocal about core skate shoes, but I kinda wanna try some NBs.

It is not the wheelbase, bushings, wood shop, grip tape, wheel shape, or shoes fault that I can't skate the same way I did ten years ago.

I’ve felt that way since I broke my leg at 23. 35 now and feel lucky I can skate 3s/4s without trippin too hard. That’s cool with me

My homie started skating at 26 and it was cool to see him progress fast until he started being better than me. Not gonna lie I was jealous/hating. I didn’t want to skate with him for a minute.

He’s a naturally gifted athlete so I shouldn’t have been a little bitch.

He made me a better skater too cuz I had to push myself to not fall behind. So stupid

I went to monster jam in like 2015 and I spilled an entire beer on a baby. I was pretty drunk and they were sitting in front of me and I didn’t know what to do so I tried to give them the forty dollars I had on me but they wouldn’t take it.

I wear low profile knee pads under my pants. I’m 36. Puts my mind at ease. Especially when I take a slam on it that would have ended the sesh.

I once bought an April board. I didn't care about the logo i just wanted to try the shape and the wood.
I skated it for 5-10min max before going back to the shop and buying another quasi the same shape I was used to. Ended up selling it for half what I paid.

I’ve never, ever done a switch kickflip. It just feels like my ankle on that foot doesn’t do that motion.

I’m also disgusted by manchildren. I can’t help but discriminate against them. They’re sickening. I’m talking about grown men that look like tiny 12 year old boys e.g. Elijah Wood and Daniel Radcliff. I assume they’re perverts or sick freaks. I can’t turn it off. I know it’s wrong to hate, but on a primal level, they creep me out. I can’t even look at a photo of Elijah Wood.

I'm the guy who can be over-friendly at the park and spend 15 minutes straight talking to people about gear, wheelbase and how much better younger people have it with regard to skateboarding. I have to remind myself not to be an old crumnudgeon at the park and just enjoy the session.

That said, I've come to enjoy skateboarding more in my 30s than I did in my youth and wish I came back sooner.

its the dead of winter, my knee is fucked and I'm not getting any younger so I'm approaching this coming summer with a bit of dread.

That and Etnies Marana E-lites were the best shoe I've had in a long time even if my wife called them 'clown shoes' when I first got them.
