i also had one of those iconic JFA stickers on the top, between the two pieces of grip, which i thought was the coolest shit in the world, until I remember quite vividly Bill Tocco walking up and going: “What’s JFA stand for, just another fucking attitude?”

hah, yeah, i haven't seen him since he got back into bodybuilding and all, but over the years i've sessioned with him, and it's all good. i came to understand the whole JFA/"just another fucking attitude" thing was from shit Midwestern heads got from dudes out west--i guess even Brian Brannon and them...who knows.
i respect what Tocco did as a skater and his limited time as a pro (destroyed his knee not too long after turning pro, from what i understand)--all of those NSA contests he won, and those years of him going back and forth with Blaize Blouin (RIP)...i've never seen a photo like this one of Tocco doing a "one-footed channel hip hop" like this one, from the year he won the NSA finals:
