In retrospect the 2 mins of introductory lifestyle shots don’t feel totally earned.

That shot of Dill hacking his board to pieces really brought me back to being eight years old.

The version I had on VHS had a way shittier song over this part though.

this is the very beginning of 'outside the box' outfits for Dill  while AVE was still firmly in his '90s Orange County skater guy' look

Its hard to trust anyone who goes through such a drastic gear change like AVE.
He rips but went from kinda hip hop dude to fully tatted greaser in no time. Changed shoe sponsor and had a total identity crisis.

Over twenty years will do that to you. Not everyone can be like Kalis in their forties dressing like it's still the nineties.

For real. The dude made a gradual switch in his kits between the late 90s and mid 2000s. Dude was rocking Ted Nugent shirts, skating to the Stooges, and putting out Black Sabbath tribute graphics while on DC anyway.

How is late 90’s to early 2000’s 20 years?
It’s not like he’s a greco, always mixing up kits.
One day he was one way and the next he was different. It was the between dc and vans. Playing to a fanbase.
Once a gain, he fucking rips and is one of the greats.
Didn’t mean for it to come across as hate. Just an observation.

People don't realise that anything with Dill in it got fast forwarded back then.

Aves transition wasn’t overnight.

He wore the Cali beanies and 3/4 Capri pant shit in the feedback era.
Kept it baggy but cords and trucker caps in the dc/mosaic era.
Then tightened the jeans up abit and stripped back his look after getting sober and filming mindfield
By propeller he had transitioned into the ‘greaser’ look
