aboslute WIDEST toe box skate shoes?
« on: March 17, 2020, 10:41:32 AM »
i'm 5E and can't find anything that doesn't make my feet BLEED. 5E is super wide. Regular shoes that you think "run wide" probably aren't going to work and i've probably tried them already. why aren't there any companies making even W skate shoes???

Anyone else with super wide feet? Do I need to just learn to skate in nonskate shoes?

New Balance 212 and Figgy Dose are pretty wide. If you're partial to vans the skate-high is the widest shoe they offer.

Half Cabs, the toe box isn't massive but they're one of the only pairs I can wear without wanting to change my shoes midway through the sesh.
Can someone explain in Fortnite terms?

NB 212 are probably the widest I've tried. Sadly the midfoot is still pretty tight, it does stretch out after a while but I had to stop and like completely unlace them to restore blood flow to my toes a few times.

Vans Sid Pro fits really wide to me. I've got a wide foot but was swimming in them especially after they broke in, ended up having to Rambo lace it real tight to keep skating them.

Side note, consider in investing in a shoe stretcher. I bought this one a few years ago: https://www.amazon.com/Xinlinke-Professional-Stretcher-Adjustable-Expander/dp/B01G5NO7X6

It fits into your shoe like a shoe tree/foot form does, but when you turn the dial it opens up the toe like in the photo. Your shoe looks funky as it is being stretched, doesn't look like a foot, but after you let it sit over night or up to 2 days and take it out, it relaxes to a more normal foot shape that is remarkably wider than it was originally.

I've used it to make some cheap adidas and converse samples I bought on eBay fit. Samples are size 9, and I'm more like a 9.5 or 10. It really does the trick, shoes fit great! They can stretch about a half size in length using that dial, and basically two sizes in width using the toe splitting dial on the stretcher. That width gain should help you.

One word of advice, the width stretching works best on suede constructions with fewer seams. A suede toecap is fine, but a suede toecap with crazy underlays and layer on layer may not work as well.

that's me as well kinda.

I have small square feet. Size 8.5-9ish.

My little toes don't even work because shoes have been a problem off and on most of my life.

Anyway I go dunk and if I can afford them FP game changers insoles.

Fuck pointed fucking elf shoes and Fuck shoe horns.

If I go cups its got to be Nike/converse and that sucks.

The air force 2 has a square toe box and my foot didn't water fall over the side of the cup.

Af2 runs .5 small compared to dunk.

The OL dunk or decon that's made that smooth black shit gets all stretched out like an old air walk. Wind up with a huge toe box with water fall action over the side of the cups.

RothDigga says AM 574 wide is as good as it getz.

These come in EE width. They're considered a 'lifestyle' shoe and not part of the Numeric line, but should be skateable. Some skate shops carry them, but to get the EE width, you'd probably have to get them direct from the New Balance site.

I thought about buying them, but there were hundreds of complaints about the shoes not being wide enough below the offer.

I have fat and wide feet. The last shoes I have managed to make work for me were marana mids (My heel would slip out on the regular maranas, because me instep is fat). They are a bit too tight for me, but after a few painful days they wore out a bit. Busenitz vulcs have been Ok for me as well. They fit me much better than the regular Busenitz which are a bit more narrow. I have also have skated adidas campus adv (Order half a size up!) and NB# 255s (order a whole size up!). Also és accel OGs are pretty wide, but they also tend to be kind of short so I would order half a size up. I also like the és accel mids (the new model). They get a bit wider after a few painful days.

I would say none of these shoes have fit me comfortably and I got calluses, but after breaking them in they were OK.  Unfortunately skate products are not made for us thick boys.

I found the 913 much roomier than the 420. Really square toebox.

You can also manhandle the sidewalks on the 913 and make em a lil wider towards the end of the toebox. Kinda changes the shape from square to round.

Adidas March court have a wide toe box, so much so that anytime I’ve recommended them, I’ve told people to size down.

just tried the new balance 574 in 2E which is the only shoe in this thread i hadn't tried yet. i don't see how they can label this as 2E as it is narrower than most other shoes in regular width. extremely narrow and pointy shows. Ridiculous.

Any other recommendations until the NB Tiagos come out?

Just ordered a pair on the internet. I only realized afterwards they were coming from Spain. Who knows when they will arrive. Damn, I hope no one coughs on them.

Lakai Freemont. Definitely try them at a store, while they are very wide I felt that they ran a little short length wise.
