SOTY is a stupid idea and comes off just as jockish as streetleague when companies have this "SOTY push" at the end of the year. It is hard not to get caught up in it as you cheer for your pick but arguing over who is better between miles, mason, tom, franky etc is apples and oranges. so many skaters deserve the recognition and each add their own something so putting one above the rest feels shitty

Agreed. I've seen a lot of edits that have GoPro footage or footage with bad mics that make the sounds almost inaudible. GoPro footage shouldn't belong in regular skate videos.

Its because fos is a slap supporter but ya theyre pretty bad. Kind of like how tom karangelov isnt that good but gets love here for the same reason. Ryan gallants board company with kelly hart as a pro wouldve been shit on hard but he had a slap sticker on his ig post so people didnt rip on him. That sort of thing
