i lived in nyc for ages and loved ny bagels because it was a whole ton of calories and carbs for cheap but never once did i think they tasted better than a regular toasted bagel

Full agree even if they do have some good songs. I was raised in a punk/metal head family and they always made sure I knew Metallica sucks lol. Whoever said black metal is just noise needs to find better black metal. Some of the most beautiful guitar I’ve ever heard has come from black metal.

i don´t dislike them but simple 50s down ledges and rails don't do it for me. especially not when the tail is dragging.
I know they are harder than 5050s but the way the board is "leveled" with the landing all of the time takes something away from it ascetically.

I really hate when magazines will post a clip on Instagram, and than direct all traffic to their site to watch it, even though they have nothing to do with the video. Free Skateboard Magazine is the worst at it. Shit, even Thrasher made a post to click in Johnny Wilson's bio for a link as opposed to going to Thrasher, Free Skateboard Magazine will always tell you to go to their site. It's just lazy.

They embed the original YouTube video so the original posters get the yt view count. I don't see the problem with that at all.

fa was just dills attempt at a cash grab to capitalize on bape style fashion, all over print and stuff. i remember that everyone, especially on here, thought it was ridiculous. it got shitted on to no end. that was when, 2006 or 07. then it went under and after he quit alien he resurrected it as his board brand. i don't know if i read the same interview as you, jgonzales, but i read one in some german graffiti/street culture mag, so no skate publication. dill basically shat all over his own brand in that interview, i remember i found it super weird. it was basically like "yeah, i started to make these dumb ass clothes that i sell for ridiculous prices at supreme, haha. the aesthetic sucks, but people are stupid and love it anyway, haha."

name of the mag is stylefile, couldn't find the interview on the internet unfortunately or i would have provided a link. but this is how i remember him coming off like.

Skateboard brands are more about aesthetics and who you have riding for you. Just look at Girl. Who would think that a brand named Girl with a logo of a women's bathroom sign would work for a product that is primarily marketed towards adolescent males. Yet, it became one of the defining brands in skateboarding. Because they had Spike creating the aesthetic in the videos, plus a ton of the top riders in the world it worked.
