help needed: stripped axel?
« on: April 02, 2020, 08:41:57 AM »
Putting on new wheels and cant seem to get the nut to catch on the axel. Anyone have any advice? Not the issue with the nut as I have multiple and they all have the same issue on this axel.

Kind of hard to get new trucks in a timely manner during covid and my trucks are fine anyways except this one issue.

I know some tools have an axel rethreader on them, but that is also difficult to procure right now. Any home remedies?

You gotta file it down. There are also skate tools with a built in re-threader you should consider getting if this happens to you often.

If you don’t have a threader try putting the nut on backwards slowly. If the threads not to fucked it will work. If not file it down or re thread it.
