Are these real? Or fakes?
« on: April 03, 2020, 03:18:45 AM »
Are there real? They seem to good to be true.

#Aliexpress € 46,29 | 136mm 149mm Independent skateboard trucks FORMULA 4 spitfire skateboard wheels bones skateboard bearings professional level

I don't see a big enough market to make fakes though?

The bearing are fakes, but I can't say about the rest.

I think those Indy trucks are fake? I don’t remember ever seeing the flame logo on the trucks. Only this one:
Ethan Bubblegum Tate - Captain of the Harlem Globetrotters, lecturer of Physics at Globetrotter University.
Tate is one of the best posters that's not me

so my question is, with the move to china are these "fakes" just the official factory slinging on the side? is a factory they did samples with going rogue? Did someone sale/steal molds?

If I rode indy's or spit fire, id' waste money to do a review

It's pretty safe to assume that anything on aliexpress is fake, especially if the price seems crazy low.

Unfortunately I've been seeing more and more people buying those fake swiss and selling them for $30-35 a box on mercari and offerup lately. There's probably a lot of people rolling around on fake bones right now.

That's a possibility, it happens a lot in china. I'm also curious about those spitfires. Are the actual ones made in china? Because I can see the factory moving units on the side...

Ya see that's what I'm thinking. There's a video on that listing of the wheels being made the in the factory. I'd say they are legit spitfire's being slinged on the side.

For instance you can also get crazy cheap Girl and Toy Machine decks. Which are also made in Chinese factories.

I’ve had plenty of trucks without axle showing behind the yoke so this isn’t an indicator. But yeah, those Indy’s do look fake based on never seeing them anywhere besides here, and the Indy cross on baseplate isn’t circled. Bearings are probably fake but I don’t think it would be easy to make some fake F4’s it’s a very specific formula.

the baseplates are stamped 'usa', so they must be extra special....

Isn't aliexpress owned by alibada? It's like their version of ebay? And these are probably shipping from China?
F4's aren't made there.. Who's importing F4's to China only to export them back to the US?

Many kids at my local park skated these and the trucks' performance was no different than my hollows indys. The bearings roll the same way (for the cheap reds), couldn't say for the fake swiss though. But the wheels are bad, it just like blank hard wheels, nothing compare to f4.
