Seeings as how there was already advertising for the new proto color ways that means that a decent amount has probably already been made. The last person to leave lakai with a whole stockpile of his pro model shoe left to sell to get announced as the new rider for another shoe company got their career pretty much ruined by Carroll....  this time around though I’m not so sure if Carroll is gonna have as easy of a time ruining this persons career; let’s just say judging by his past accolades and his position in the industry and in mainstream media altogether I’m sure he’ll be just fine, even IF Carroll does a jenkem smear interview against him. TMZ tried to smear Hawk for cheating on his wife, and people still just shrugged it off, I’m sure whatever Carroll has to say probably won’t do much harm at all to this man’s reputation, if Carroll even says anything at all.

Also I swear I just seen an online ad a couple days back for an Indy x Lakai collab to specifically celebrate the fact that Riley and Tony are both on Indy; their names were both highlighted in the ad and everything. Wonder what happened with Tony and lakai? With all these shoes lakai has left to sell for Tony I can’t imagine him leaving early like Marc did and having Vans announce him early for no good reason; I doubt it was for money, he’s already got plenty of that; I wonder what else happened?

Carrol owned the company that "the last person" rode for.  there is nothing that Carrol could do to ruin Tony's career. you're crazy

You do realize I pretty much alluded to your exact sentiment right? I even bolded it for you in the quote above so you have no choice but to not miss it this time around.

Your entire hypothesis was stupid... the fact that you typed that out thinking it was even a possibility is bewildering

Looks like the Adio team page is offline. They must be updating it.

Im  thinking maybe they’re doing a legends thing or maybe he’s more of like a spokesperson now, given him talking about skating less the last few years . It seems stupid for him to go anywhere else at this point, I mean Tony in vans for the rest of his days just makes sense in skateboarding.

Also when I checked I remembered Zion is on vans now and that still makes absolutely no sense, but I imagine he was only signed for vans to have more screen time at the Olympics.

I’ll gladly trade Chris Russell for Zion.

Nothing against Zion, but it’s weird seeing Russell skate in Adidas.

Had the same thought but Alva and TNT are still on there so who knows what's up. But you're most likely right being more a spokesman/ambassador in the grand scheme of things than a poster boy and entertainer for them now.

kinda crazy that i can’t logically say that if he is of then it’s more of a loss for *insert tony or vans* because when anyone that doesn’t skate thinks of skating, it’s always tony hawk or vans that they think of.

I’m sure Vans paid a fortune for his contract, so I don’t see any reason why he wouldn’t be on the team page other than his contract is up and he’s off.  They wouldn’t just omit him by accident after paying all that money.

Dior dressed him for the show.  The designer was ERL and they hand-picked certain people to wear the clothes in the crowd.

The shoes he wore are Dior also.

He's still on Vans, ya'll

This. All you fellas reading in to this way too much. it's a damn fashion show and he was dressed by a designer. Doubt he's gonna say "er sorry I need to wear vans or else SLAP is gonna lose their shit". Like he might as well be wearing some dress shoes this is not a big deal.

If it was a photo of him chilling in his backyard in chucks then that would maybe be a different story

I think it was that photo coupled with the fact that hes off the vans site. And he definitely was on the site when he got on...

Tony's literally not listed under the vans skate team page on the vans site anymore. That's where the whole thread resurrected.

Scroll down to the bottom. No Tony sadly.

This Dior thing is just coincidence.

Is it true?  Or did you read it on the slap message board?
