New truck company - Foundry Trucks
« on: February 10, 2021, 04:35:23 PM »
I saw some of the Curb Control (Costco curb) guys we’re posting on Instagram about these.

The hanger looks almost identical to an Indy stage 11. The Base plate looks kinda generic. Not a bad looking truck, overall.

Man. Those are boring as heck. Just a 1 for 1 rip of Independent. Probably from the same Chinese foundry that makes other blank trucks for generic completes. The only difference is these have their name etched into them post-casting... another sign that they are from generic molds. A new mold from a new brand would have the name/logo cast in, in 3D, like Indy Venture Thunder Ace etc.

I honestly don't think there's a need or room for another truck company unless its something radically different which it does not seem to be.

Could damn near make a complete with all the new brands from just today. Who’s gonna be the first in the set up thread with a Sakura deck with foundry trucks, snot wheels, and pushCA grip?

Sellers on Aliexpress will do "custom" trucks for as few as 100 pairs of trucks. 90% only do hollow kingpin, rarely hollow axle, cast baseplates, and only in 5.2 / 139 size.
Venture Truck Height:

5.0 & 5.2 LO
STANDARD - 1.88” - 47.75mm
FORGED - 1.85”- 46.99mm

5.0 ,5.2, 5.6, 5.8 & 6.1 HI
STANDARD - 2.09” - 53.09mm
FORGED - 2.04” - 51.82m

Exactly. I don't know who this is for. The market is already completely saturated, especially for the curb dogs who have serious brand loyalty to either Ace or Indy
This is not my SOTY. I'm telling my kids there was no SOTY for 2021

Yeah, I think a lot of people saw the shortage of products and increased popularity in skating due to covid, and took it as an opportunity to make a brand and some cash.

Anyone can get a generic cast mold from a china factory and stick a logo on.

If I wanted to I could start a slap brand truck company today and have it up and running, for sale in two months max.

It would be funny to experiment with. Slap deck, trucks , wheels the works.
I want to fight you so badly richard
Please give me your address ill make it my life goal to punsh your face in

Judging by who they are following, it's a Berrics related rip off Independent company.

Wouldn’t surprise me. Tim, the Friendship owner is part of that curb control gang. So it could be him

These bullshit Foundry trucks aren’t even a copy of Indys; it turns out they’re a down-market knockoff of the Compound trucks Indy clones.
Boooooo! Boo this truck!!!

I wanna play you in a game of SKATE for the right to continue talking shit on me.  You think you got me?

Another truck company selling those alibaba trucks. Same cast. Their slogan is “always on the grind”. Ripping Indy and Venture off at the same time

Honestly, I’m surprised these knockoffs aren’t more blatant with their branding. I’d expect Unaffiliated Trucks, Maverick Trucks, or even Autonomous Trucks; something suggesting to the consumer that they’re getting a bootleg Independent.
Somebody should take one for the team & test a pair out.
