Been on a big townes van zandt tear recently. Man, he was truly one of the greats. The late great townes van zandt is obviously a great album, but high low and inbetween is another classic. His first album is amazing. Tecumseh valley, holy shit.

I listened to Future Islands for the first time today after catching a Reel of their late-night show performance. I mistakenly thought they were a new band—lol! I really enjoyed it, especially because of the growling vocals; I thought, "This must sound incredible on the album." Surprisingly, the album, which is from 2014, doesn't feature that singing style. I wish it did. When I went back to the Reel, I saw that everyone was criticizing them, but I still appreciated it as something refreshingly different for my ears. Lately, I’ve been really into Peso Pluma, and even though I barely speak any Spanish, that music was starting to bring me down.
