What cities would you say are the best places to live/visit as far as the skate scene goes? This would include shops, parks, spots, overall vibes. Bonus points for good bars/nightlife.

I'd say Lyon is pretty epic, has everything.

I imagine things have changed, but 6 years ago Moscow had one of the best scenes in the whole world.

Also, the Havana scene is pretty cool. But, some of the "charities" are pretty sketchy, which is a bummer.

I love when people bring up world hunger. It makes everything meaningless.
"That guy is double parked."
"Who cares? There are people starving to death! Besides, how does that affect you? Does it lessen the joy of parking?

Just to visit I d go to Gran Canaria again. Small, but strong and welcoming scene. Nice spots, nice weather, beautiful girls, good surf and hiking. Living there and skating would limit you because the island is not very big but enough spots to go there for one or two weeks. Architecture is similar to Spain = nice to skate. On the flipside its super touristy and the night life seems a little whack, but who needs that when you can just drink a beer on the beach ;)

As far as skate scene/bars
The northwest has it super going on during the summertime, rad hills, cool shops, decent weather, food is sick, women are cute too, park’s a plenty.  Only thing is weed, oh wait it’s legalized there too!

From San Diego & Portland to Vancouver gets my vote for best places along with Colorado and the southwest for ditches parks and rad places to just go outside,

I have found this one thing to be true in any country regardless of language barrier, you go to a skate shop you’ll be be shown the spots and places to go.

Clubs are rad, the nightlife scene is important to keep a good balance of mind for when not at work.

Valencia is amazing (specially street wise; solid scene) and Vigo in the northwest of spain is a must during summer

I’ve traveled plenty but not for the purpose of skating. Barcelona and NYC the best cities I’ve skated. Boston is good for being way less of a bust than NY but I’m not a ledge guy.
