Just some trivia on that tag of mine too:
https://www.slashfilm.com/549556/die-hard-deleted-scene-watches/

https://wornandwound.com/tag-heuers-explain-away-die-hards-29-year-old-plot-hole/

All of the bad guys in die hard 1 wore it, but some of the scenes (when they all synch their chronos) got cut, you can still see a few of them wearing in the scenes that made the final cut though!

yeah, it's been on my mind a bit to say the least, need to try one on!
I guess Tudor of yesteryear is not the same as it is today; my Tudor Sub is straight up manufactured with Rolex parts but instead of putting an in-house movement in there, they just chucked an ETA at the last stage in production. Modern-day Tudor have their own factories so it's not just like they have mercedes hands lying around to use. I have a feeling that modern-day rolex would like to keep it that way too ;) Anyway, for the price you are getting a lot of watch with this one I feel!

Had drinks at a party with a guy wearing a Daytona the other night. I definitely didn't make him cool, and my main takeaway is that I definitely wouldn't feel comfortable walking drunk around the LES with one of those on.

Probably won't ever get anything fancier than what I've got now, but lately been eyeing a Universal Geneve tri compax. Eccentric old man style.

Looks like the Birdman is on Citizen https://www.instagram.com/p/CrI1_ROr6rJ/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link
Good for him, but at least put him in one of these bad boys or a NY0040:

I'm almost certain I've seen a pic of him wearing a rolex so he'll have to keep that one locked up until his contract is done...

generally, people who wear rolexes know absolutely nothing about watches, there are exceptions but you need to tread carefully and yes, they defs don't make you any cooler! I do however love your undying love for UG

Oh shit (37mm)!

I tried it today on the oysterflex (or whatever tudor calls it) that thing fits and looks perfect.

I might chop it one day when aftermarket prices go down in 3-5 years.

I have been eyeing the BB58 a lot recently but this new 54 definitely has me second-guessing.

going for around 40,000 yen which is too much imho, might be good if you’re sitting on some USD with the way the exchange rate is, but I could get an Skx013 for that much and other than the movement, I think the Skx is the superior watch. That teal colorway is kinda cool though…

second guess yourself a lot, I think they knocked it out of the park with this one, I’m also guessing it won’t wear *that* small, probably closer to a Skx013. My BB36 Defs wears on the larger side for a 36mm watch!

tried on one of the new Tudor bb36 yesterday because I was in the big smoke, but unfortunately didn't see the 54 in the flesh.
the new bb36s feel a lot more refined, especially with the smaller crown, less blocky case and the jubilee bracelet; feels more like an OP/ datejust now as opposed to a tool-ish diver w/ no bezel. T-fit clasp is the star of the show though at least when discussing the bracelet, that really takes the watch to a whole new level as does the in-house movement with 70 hours power reserve. also, the sunburst blue on the dial is amazing in person; again though it takes away the tool-ish feel of the original glossy blue that a lot of people love and makes it more dressy. Either way, I think they'll have trouble getting rid of old stock now that the new boys are in town. The AD I went to didn't even have the new watches on display, I had to ask them LOL...

Can’t believe I just found this thread. I’m a big watch guy, though not huge into collecting. I have a Casio World Time (because everyone should), a Vostok Amphibia (same model but different dial worn by Steve Zissou), but my G-Shock GW7900B is my favorite. Solar and Multiband 6 ftw.

World times are sweet because they’re like $20 and so easy to mod. You can get custom cases for them and a whole bunch of shit. I see a lot of people putting glow in the dark or colored cellophane tape between display layers for some really cool, cheap effects.

What did you cop though? I just got an Apple Watch so I don’t have to whip my phone out at work.

watch modding is crazy! I don’t think I need to go down that rabbit hole though, I already bleed enough money into this hobby…
Well I copped a … surprise surprise, yet another vintage diver. This one has a lot of history behind it if you start doing some research on it, essentially the watch that saved Heuer as a company during the quartz crisis:
https://www.instagram.com/p/CtXvM-uBrdv/?igshid=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ==
Yes, I’m aware that I’m only obsessed with vintage divers, but I’ve come to accept that fact a lot more lately…

Someone at Seiko finally listened! Probably around the same price as a bb54 on a bracelet though which is some pretty stiff competition!

Big shout out to GreyImpSausageMetal for hooking me up with a gorgeous JDM Citizen Pro Master Tough. This is the OG model with a smaller case, and are near impossible to find in mint condition.   Its solar powered and housed in a one piece titanium case.....easy to wear and pretty much indestructible.  Very happy!  Thanks again Nathan!

no problem whatsoever, you initially got me interested in that particular model, and while they are also rare in Japan, you see them pop up fairly often.
I actually wore this on the plane over to Berlin recently and then sent it to @breezer
The specs on it are ridiculous for the price, it’s titanium too!!!
