Love the Dirk / HK comparison

Help me with that. I’m not seeing it. I don’t really see any of those comparisons actually, especially Dr J/Rodney

I would say Kyrie: both have personalities that affected their ability to have a shoe sponsor

skill wise Nyjah is MJ.

nyjah is lebron skill wise. nyjah cant do frontside flips and nollie/switch kickflip or like frontside lipslide. He also wins everything except the actual big shit like olympics and SOTY and stuff.

Same thing and lebin having limited bag and absolutely no defense exccept chasedown blocks. but goes to the playoffs every season and the finals even but ultimately loses more than he wins. also covered in tattoos and child prodigy. they have it all lined.

Ishod is Michael Jordan skill wise.

Tony Hawk is like wilt chamberlain. absolutely great but not like jordan great.

I've read the ishod comparisons but I think he is Timmy d. Unquestionably great but somehow underappreciated. Fundamentally sound across the bloard

Someone has probably already said this but I just rewatched the Nike "20 Years of Grant Taylor" part and he is easily the LeBron of this shit.

Insanely talented as a youth and lived up to all of the expectations as a pro. Their timelines line up pretty well too with both of them breaking on to the scene around the same time and now they're both still active with people kind of wondering of they're slowing down a bit and they both sort of are but every once and awhile they both do something that makes you go "damn they still got it, idk if anyone else can do that"

Grant is also like LeBron in the sense that he's the skateboarding equivalent of a no-BS positionless player. Him and LeBron can really do it all to a different degree than a lot of other people who get the ATV/positionless player label.

I feel like to be Paul George, you'd have to have had an insanely brutal injury that you bounced back from early in your career and you'd have to be dogshit in the present day.

Edit: maybe MikeMo?

Is Steve Nash and McCrank too on the nose?

Jake Johnson is Bol Bol, Jokic is Arto, Rowley is maybe like an Isaiah Thomas, Mullen is Jerry West, Sinclair is Red Auerbach, Nyjah is Lamelo Ball, Deawon is Allen Iverson, Jamie Foy is Zion if Zion ever stayed healthy, Rick and Mike, as well as Ave and Dill, are both Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett (legendary but need to stop running their mouths and coming apart at the seams), Koston wishes he was Kobe but is more of a Durant, Danny Way is LeBron because he's clearly the skate messiah and his life and xgames read like a Hollywood script. Guy Mariano is MJ, he's had the FF comeback, and the lesser remembered Wizards/Numbers streak. Rudy Johnson is Pippen because maybe once every year or so you briefly remember he existed but only with Guy Mariano.

Rodman at least was capable of having an affect on the game, and people actually cared about him. Could you say that about David Loy at any point during his career?

Rodman’s peak was what?  the second Bulls dynasty of which he was the third most important player.   Hardly a joke.

They both liked their nose rings, were irascible and hard to control, and sheffey had the blue woman’s wig.   I’d maybe give you Nakel over Loy bc he did the hair dye-ing too
