krux actually turn well, yall are just too biased by their shitty marketing and the stupid hole
[close]

My problem with krux is although they have a really responsive turn they don’t carve deep enough. I had a pair of forged 8.25s about 2 years ago and I could barely  get wheelbite with them because they just don’t go that deep. I rode the pair for a few months but then just caved in and got some indy’s that can never go wrong.

Most people don't feel these are mutually exclusive tho, that's the problem.

Let's be honest, the only person we can immediately name on the Krux team is Nora, and she doesn't even use the stock bushings.

What the name of that type of base plate that cups the bottom bushings with out a bottom washer. Thunders used to be like that same with gullwings.

There definitely has to be a name for the style or it would never get made.
I would call it a baseplates a Jimmy hat. IDK it's probably called no hang up Base plate. The GK site point out the point of the rounded baseplates.

Those old thunder plates were sick. They were gothic looking. Or neo tribalish.

If they can make the downlows like they were before the redesign(current design since like 2009 or whatever)

I’m so down for a set, I use to ride them religiously back in the early 2000’s and loved them, never hesitated to try any grind tricks cause of the kingpin

Tried thunders and switched over, saw they had the current design come out and got a set, they sucked ass

They went from being hated on cause they were too tight(which I liked) to too loose and not in the good way, too loose like they hang and lean in a lot but don’t turn

The truck design/shape from the Louie diamond or wood design days were great cause yes they were tight but once you broke them in they were like the ace of today, the bushings are stiff but break in

I had the coolest set they ever sold, the laser design

Looked like a holographic Pokémon card but as a truck
yes

I don’t even like watching people who have krux skate.

Colt Cannon and his pink hangers get a pass though.

 Tommy Sandoval as well.

There’s plenty, and I was going to include caveats, but....hyperbole:

Arin (Arrbee mentioned) and it’s very true.
Silas.
Sandoval.
Cairo.
Lay.
Tilt mode era was cool (not because of the trucks).

I’m sure there’s more. I had some when Mayhew was on Maple, to really date myself.

Whomever pointed out that they became the go to for the folks doing horrible tricks on ig 2016 ish: that’s exactly how i see them. As soon as I see the krux, I start getting ready to avert my eyes, as someone is about to heelflip body varial into a chain of 5 no-comply variations, filmed at a skatepark.

They have some cool ideas/innovations (baseplate shape, kingpin, maybe both were around but they implemented). I’ve always looked for ‘not an Indy’, just some alternative, and I’m not sure completely why. Obviously some of the Indy stuff is very sus. Krux chose to go toy as fuck and I can’t unsee it. Krux was the price point made in China brand, I’d rather not buy some from China (I buy lots of stuff from China. Just less is all).

They fake turn (lean no turn). Look horrible. Unnecessarily tall. No good heritage (less bad heritage too I guess). Kooks love em.
I look at trucks too much.

Im pretty sure anyone could get used to krux after a few days. You guys are really disdainful to certain brands.

Also the turn and the carve feel is kinda diff from person to person due to choice of leg and weight distribution but the max is always wheelbite obviously.

Krux ads use to be dope!

I got ninja turtle krux for Christmas last year, cause I’m a TMNT fan. Took them back to Zumiez and got some gift cards.

I like that new Krux TM is basically throwing giving anyone with potential a shot right now.

Tensor is had redesign that seems successful., destructo came back, and Indy is having a big overhaul with the mid, so this is probably the best time to make a change.

Now with a bigger hole would lead to an interesting add campaign....

How long until they charge $150 to design your own custom truck....

What is the history of Krux anyhow....how about a Krux coffee table book?

They should make an adults-only model with one of those fleshlight things.  That would really make for some next-level post-trick celebrations.

Had to look up what that was and saw that they are having a Memorial Day sale.  Seems like an odd way of paying tribute to our fallen heroes.

The only pair of Krux trucks I ever skated I got from winning a Thrasher trivia contest question they put on the website once a month at the time. They sent me one regular truck and one downlow. That’s how I’ll always remember them

Same shit happened to my buddy back in the day from a SPoT contest. They were they diamond ones.
