I don’t even like watching people who have krux skate.
Colt Cannon and his pink hangers get a pass though.
Tommy Sandoval as well.
There’s plenty, and I was going to include caveats, but....hyperbole:
Arin (Arrbee mentioned) and it’s very true.
Silas.
Sandoval.
Cairo.
Lay.
Tilt mode era was cool (not because of the trucks).
I’m sure there’s more. I had some when Mayhew was on Maple, to really date myself.
Whomever pointed out that they became the go to for the folks doing horrible tricks on ig 2016 ish: that’s exactly how i see them. As soon as I see the krux, I start getting ready to avert my eyes, as someone is about to heelflip body varial into a chain of 5 no-comply variations, filmed at a skatepark.
They have some cool ideas/innovations (baseplate shape, kingpin, maybe both were around but they implemented). I’ve always looked for ‘not an Indy’, just some alternative, and I’m not sure completely why. Obviously some of the Indy stuff is very sus. Krux chose to go toy as fuck and I can’t unsee it. Krux was the price point made in China brand, I’d rather not buy some from China (I buy lots of stuff from China. Just less is all).
They fake turn (lean no turn). Look horrible. Unnecessarily tall. No good heritage (less bad heritage too I guess). Kooks love em.
I look at trucks too much.
