PS Stix baby, my mans Dr. Schmitt opened your eyes to wheelbase. Plus, he takes time to make sure your favorite pro has a set-up that works for them and made Welcome happen.

Love PS Stix with the fat shovel nose (Quasi, GX, AWS, etc). 8.25-8.5, 14”-14.25” wheelbase...mama mia that’s a spicy meatball; my favorite shape out right now.

never had a problem with PS stix boards, they last as long as any other board for me. can't wait to get another one and get back to normal after trying some new shit. been riding 8.25 quasi and wknd boards nonstop the past year straight, might go back up to 8.5 for a little more room.

The woodshop directory is a good resource but it's not the end all and be all. It's manually updated by a single person and most of information is crowd sourced so it's maybe 90% accurate at the best of times. FA has been on BBS exclusively for at least a year, and probably before that. You can still find some holdover PS decks in local shops but they're pretty scarce.

I think PS quality has improved in the last year or so. My first experience with them last spring was very negative and I swore them off for months. Then I bought a WKND deck on clearance for like $25 and fell in love with it. Love the shapes and the light, springy feel of the wood and now I probably ride more PS wood than any other wood. Maybe it's just my weak old legs not punishing them enough but I haven't had one prematurely shit out on me since I started skating them again. They do mellow out over time but so does every other 7 ply maple deck.

I kind of put the "PS wood sucks" thing in the same category as "ventures don't turn". There may have been some truth to it at one point but it's not the case anymore.

BBS won....can you even regularly find PS boards?  Is usually just welcome?  I've always thought PS does steep well, BBS do mellow well....you can get a steep BBS board, but then it's hard to find the, again and again....just get used to that mellow 'medium' and you can skate almost any deck....
