El-P got him but Esoteric was an easy target. That guy's a fucking cornball. Esoteric only won against Cage and Copywrite because those guys are actually cornier than Esoteric is...

It's pretty much agreed that the best diss songs include "Dollarz & Sense" by DJ Quick and "The Bitch in Yoo" by Common. Every thing else is up to personal preference.

I actually like "The Search 4 Bobby Fisher" by Evidence,  "Life's on the Line" by 50 Cent, "Long Life" by Talib Kweli and "I Remember" by Eminem.
"Was just about to say, wtf is up with this EdLawndale guy?"

That Can'tRyhme song is awful. Really awful.

Cam'Ron consistantly takes Ls. He actually told Nas he was gonna "R. Kelly" in Nas' like 8 year old daughter's face.

Guy's a total piece of shit. You might be one of the last ppl rocking with him.

Not necessarily a diss track, but the disses in this particular battle between Daylyt and Madchild reign supreme for me, super clever lines:

"Now go home and get your fucking Shinebox"

It's not a real diss track unless both artists are on it, and both are dead within the year. Otherwise it's just a transparent PR stunt.

Diss tracks are lame.

Well then, there you have it.  Almighty arbiter, Zephyr Jizz has spoken, so let the rules governing diss tracks be hereby decreed henceforth and forthwith....

Actually, ZJ can eat a dick.  I say the rule is, it's not a real diss track unless it happened in the 1980's, was aired on television, contains no profanity (or actual disses) and at least one member from each crew is wearing gloves indoors.

THAT'S the rule.
