did any of the dudes who ditched their sponsors for DC (cole, mike mo, mikey taylor) do well after it folded?
What folded?
In coles defense, i think that move was for his retirement program. Stack some chips in the bank account.

Has there ever been a retirement deck? I bet a Mike Mo' farewell deck would sell well.

Enjoi shoulda done that for Cairo and Jose when they were forced to retire.

loved Fully Flared and the era where he had all of those videos with Vince on 8=D
but if we're going to be honest, dude wasn't thaaaat productive after he got his board and before the injury.
started Glassy, selling gamer goggles, and making memes with his puppet.

shame he had to get seriously injured being reckless but equally a shame he was never able to follow up something comparable to his Fully Flared section

Is it because pretty sweet isn’t on YouTube that none of you all saw it? His part in that video goes. Not a single filler trick in it.
That part definitely didn't hit like fully flared. If I recall correctly there were a bunch of tricks on skatepark ledges but I could be imagining things. Either way his retirement is long overdue.

"Skate Industry" for women: grind for years for no recognition, no money, ever

"Skate Industry" for men: get hooked up as an adolescent, get free product whole life, filmers trip over themselves to cover you, act like an idiot and get praised, drive drunk, injure your friends, openly talk about not skating for years, put out no coverage for years, only stop getting paid and getting free shit shit when you voluntarily just decide you're too cool anymore

There has never been a single girl that has ever got me hyped to skate. And if you disagree then you're a lying white knight beta sheep. Cancel yourself

I’m really trying to be nicer but you guys make it so hard, if you don’t know what your talking about just keep your mouth shut. His last trick in fully flared was on a ledge at the berries, not a single trick in his pretty sweet part was at a skatepark. Long overdue? It’s costing crail nothing to keep him on the team. They only pay royalties anyway. Plus I guarantee you if you did a spread sheet of girl boards sales of all time , mo’s would be in the top three. He earned his shot at trying to come back from the injury. He’s the main guy that kept crail relevant after 2007. More than earned the right to milk it and even when he has the courage to call it quits all you have to say is about time? You’re fucked.

well, there was a whole DC phase of being Berra-masterminded where the DC logo was changed into a flag and they acquired a bunch of skaters from other companies around the same time Plan B was snatching a lot of the same guys for their reboot

Ha
The guys who were on Girl prior to the emergence of mass sales of blanks and shop boards probably have massive sales. So, pretty much anyone who was on Girl from the beginning and pro, who stuck around awhile like Rickk, Koston, Guy and Carroll probably have by far the most sales. I'd be surprised if Mo had more sales than Jeron, McCrank, and BA to be honest.

I always thought it was the berries because it had the studio lights and it looks like a movable ledge. The second to last clip I know for a fact is a man made ledge though at that diy spot in Simi Valley. Point being it’s obvious the dude is mixing up the two video parts and thus has no right to encapsulate the guys career. You all must be the most miserable people on earth to kick this guy while he’s already down.

I dont remember a single trick he did in that part although I haven't watched it more than 3-4 times. Plus by 2012 the flood gates have opened and he blended in with everyone else by that time, injury fuked him.

Sad to think the last Girl video that came out was when I was 28 and I had one clip. If my dumb injury didn’t happen it would of been a full part. With that said. I actually appreciate the injury and the perspective it’s given me. It’s made me grow up and learn different skills. And with this said, why couldn’t I just learn the nice grateful perspective and also have my foot not be paralyzed? That’d be pretty awesome haha

Also, sad to think that I fucked my skate career up at 24 years old. I had at least another 6 prime years to give. Side note. I am not sad about this. Just reflecting and thinking. Totally ok with where I am at now

Sounds like he’s chalking it up to some freak accident or something beyond his control. He fucked up and got hurt, could’ve been a lot worse. Take responsibility for your actions.
That said...it’s a shame he can’t skate anymore. He’s probably my favorite tech guys. Bummed to hear he’s retiring. Hope he keeps showing up for batb.

Lol what would you like him to do exactly besides live with the debilitating injury for the rest of his life? It can't be his fault AND he can be sad about it? Also, isn't him saying he doesn't deserve a board because he can't skate literally a way of taking responsibility for it?
