Not so much a single character but I often describe people as the Shelbyville version of ______. As in “that guy looks like Shelbyville Paul Newman” or something to that effect.

This became Twilight Zone like when my friend and I had an altercation with two guys who were better looking versions of ourselves and I had to admit they were our Springfield versions.

That's an awesome idea and I may have to steal it

That's the one they had to completely redo, right? It was supposed to be the series premiere but Klaskey-Csupo really goofed it up I believe

I just guessed about the budget because it's all over the place in the episode. Some frames have very janky movement for Lisa and Bart, but Ms Botz look really fluid.

First time I've watch this episode, have yet to watch stuff before season 4, I believe.

Oh man, you're in for a treat. Seasons 3 + 4 have a lot of gold. Have you seen Burns' Heir? That episode is one of my all-time favorites. "I bad want money now."

The more I rewatch the show the better it gets. So many references that went over my head as a kid. Made me laugh as a kid, makes me laugh as an adult. I guess that’s part of the reason it was so successful.

I feel like Season 4 has a lot of episodes that aren't regarded as classics as much as from Season 2 or 3 or 5, but there's a lot of gold. Like off the top of my head, I don't think of Itchy & Scratchy Movie as a classic episode, but it has a lot of great gags and is meaningful at the same time. I love when Homer tells the story about how he held his breath as a kid until he got a baseball glove.

One of my all time favorite exchanges in the series is when she asks Marge what a baby is really saying when asking for a bottle, and Marge replies totally dead pan: "BABA?"
