"Pray for Mojo"
Fun fact: George Meyer (perhaps the most important Simpsons writer of all-time) has said that the Pray For Mojo scene is is #1 favorite Simpsons joke

I find it hilarious now that Simpsons were so subversive that the Halloween specials required a preface to warn conservative parents not to watch.

I like how the audience members on the right side of the screen in clips 1 and 3 are the same people in the same seats just with make overs.

They must all go to the "I can't Believe They Invented it" show together all the time.

Quote from: ChuckRamone
I love when people bring up world hunger. It makes everything meaningless.
"That guy is double parked."
"Who cares? There are people starving to death! Besides, how does that affect you? Does it lessen the joy of parking?

I don't think they wrote any lines for Adam West, they just let him riff and animated the scene around his lines.

Ned Flanders - semi-main character but I love his last instructions to his wife and kids.

Just a speculation on my end, but he would definitely embrace the self-roast.

LOL holy hell that's good.

OS I love those pins! So cool.

Layzie you have me stumped! May I phone a friend?

It's been such a thrill watching this thread roll. I know I'm a broken record, but shalom to everyone and especially OS for starting the party. This has been a therapeutic place to clear my head, cause that shit is noisy.

One of my favorite Comic Book Guy quotes: "I must return to my comic book store, where I dispense the insults, not absorb them"

Or, "(groaning in discomfort) Loneliness and cheeseburgers are a deadly combination!"

Sorry for the post spamming everyone, but I haven't seen this thread for a few days and needed to catch up.
The TOH where they disguise themselves as Bob Dole and Clinton is one of my favorite TOH shorts. Every joke is hilarious. To list a few:
-(Clinton, while he & his bed are being abducted from the White House): "Wha? Is it noon already?"

-At a political rally "When I was a boy, I dreamed of being a baseball"

-Homer kicking the small bush that's "disguising" the huge spaceship

-Ross Perot punching through his straw hat  ;D ;D ;D

-And the classic, "Don't blame me, I voted for Kodos"

You're all amazing. This is undoubtedly my favorite thread on SLAP ever.

The 2014 treehouse of horror might be one of my favorite of the newer crop. The clockwork orange parody, and when they get haunted by their old 1989 original selves are pretty good. Homer falls in love with old marge, and then present marge kills herself to be a ghost too, by the end the whole family are floating around I think haha

Good morning shalomies!

Today's one-off goes to the One & Only... Krunchy the Klown!

*marching in place* We want Krunchy! We want Krunchy!

IMO this is the all time great season opener. Starting season 4 with a unique bang. Such a hilarious and tangible storyline - and the Lord of the Flies-esque revolution sequence that follows the appearance of Krunchy... now that is a sequence I'll never forget. Comedy climax. From Bart's paramilitary TV appearance with the captive Kent Brockman, to Homer suddenly regaining stress weight and losing his regrown hair while watching the broadcast - fucking gold.

Did anyone watch the Simpsons movie in the theater?

Yes! Let's see, that was 2007 so I was still in high school. I remember very well going with my dad to see the movie - it was really a great experience, and remains a great memory with him.

I used to get flamed for liking the Simpsons as a kid - I'm the youngest, so my older siblings would tear me apart for whatever I liked (which I guess was pretty easy as it was primarily The Simpsons and Linkin Park, hahaha). But to see the feature film with my pops all those years later felt like family closure. Like when you grow up and can have a laugh about being a stupid teenager with your parents - that type of thing.

We laughed our asses off. I have grown to prefer the early-Simpsons humor like many in this thread, but that movie will always have a special place for me - if only because of getting to see it in theaters with my dad ;D
