I'm generally curious how Welcome to Hell is better than Mouse. Seems like it would be a good debate.

Menikmati should be up there...Lots of classic videos missing.
[close]
I agree with welcome to hell beating mouse but it’s a close one, trilogy is up there too.
Welcome to hell changed the landscape of skateboarding and i was at the premier(yup, i’m super cool)

When people think of Welcome to Hell they think Jamie Thomas big rails but there are so many good parts. Brian Anderson, Ed Templeton, Elissa Steamer, Mike Maldonado, Satva, Donny Barley, an excellent friends section.

Mouse is more of a one trick pony. Lots of ledge lines. Great vibe and songs though. Guy in Mouse beats anything in WTH though.

Tough call but I can see how WTH could edge Mouse out.
I thought it wasnt just him solo, shouldve stuck with my og thought.

If Muska's part had been included in WTH, I could see it winning the whole thing.

I like mouse and welcome
To hell quite a bit. I do remember that welcome to hell was the video that changed skateboarding more though at the time. Plus it was the first video that had a woman skater in it that was actually a ripper. Not a Jamie Thomas fan though. He seems really intense and I really wish muska was in it.

I'll take Questionable over Video Days, but I completely get why it won. Hard to compare videos across distinct eras.

I'd take Mouse over WTH, but I'm not going to go crazy at someone who has a differing opinion.

I doubt an old skate video could be the best. Those guys barely did any hard tricks. I bet there's not a single switch dolphin flip to back smith to double kickflip body varial out in that video. A recent Nike or Plan B video is the real number one.

A lot of great East Coast plaza/ledge skating when so much of the industry was California Rail-Skating. As someone who grew up in a cold-weather city off a great lake, the spots they skated were much more relatable than Cali rails with perfect run-ups. There were obviously great east coast videos before that such as EE3, but it felt like the first major video from a big brand that was predominately East-Coast spots between Kalis, Dill, Pops, Wenning and most of the Habitat section.

i deffo prefer east coast skating, i guess i just really dislike early-2000s aesthetic of baggy clothes (especially white dudes), crooks everywhere, and run-of-the-mill trick selection. habitat section was solid, but the rest had choppy editing, and i highly disagree that it was cohesive (obviously, a matter of opinion).

this honestly seems more like a case of needing to exist in the context. i started skating in this era but missed this video, and i don't think most of the non-ledge skating holds up well, honestly. seems like maybe nostalgia's a big factor?

Interesting and engaging art direction. Well edited and sequenced. Tasteful use of super 8. Varied but well chosen music. Classic Dill ender. AVE. Young Pops and Wenning. Getz. Tim O' Connor. Danny Garcia nollie flip noseslide hubba and everything else he does. Kalis killing it at love, classic tre over the trash can. Street skating looking as good as ever.

I realize they're pretty handrail/stair-centric, but both Dying to Live and New Blood not making the bracket is criminal. Jon Allie's part in New Blood alone should get it on the board.

Mouse has more forgettable parts than WTH and the skits are not as cute as they thought. Guy’s part might be better than anything in WTH though. Think WTH spawned more enduring pros. It’s tough but I give it to WTH
