You seem to really like wax.  Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

I don’t have an issue with this because I rarely flip my board... But lots of people don’t realise using extra speed rings can save the threads of your axles from being burred and dented.

Dishwashing liquid in pivot cup and between each buching/bushing cap...makes trucks smooth and quiet.

Extra speed ring, saves the axle thread.

Rotate wheels

Clean bearings and oil them

Can also push your wheels out quite a bit on some trucks (especially if you're riding thin wheels), which can effectively make it ride like a wider axle. I've done that on tensors and other trucks that have weird axle lengths to cut down on how magic-carpety a setup feels.

Has anyone super glued a nose/tail to try and prevent razoring? Might give it a shot then put a layer of wax over the top. Maybe i'm being stupid.

Some layers of duct-tape around the bit of the hanger that goes inside the pivot cup is also a good cheap way of fixing a broken or lost pivot cup.

Use spacers to prolong the life of the bearings and periodically clean & lube the bearings

Rub razor tail on mortar between brick work-the smoother the better. The harder you press the smoother and more compacted the wood gets.

Use a heat gun to dry out a board that seems to be filled with moisture.

Glue and clamp chipped nose/tail with wood glue.

Also, always use copers to protect against wear and tear on your trucks.

to prevent the magic carpet feel, wouldn't it be to make the axle shorter?

and by weird axle length do ya mean like a wack ass number like 8.38 or being too short/long

is there any notable differences between riding a long/short truck axle?

One crusty way is to make friends with someone who is the same shoe size as you but opposite stance. Both of you skate your shoes (same shoe model ideally) for awhile and then trade with each other: either the whole pair or just one of them depending on how you both want your shoes to wear.

Sanding down razor tail on an actual sander or some make shift contraption.

Visible crack? Fill it in with super/krazy glue and clamp it while it dries.

Got a chip? Find some woodchips or sticks, smash em and glue them together in the desired shape, and use some left over grip scraps if you can get your hands on em. Then grip over the filler you put in the chip, cut excess and back to skating!

Pro tip! Just don't skate and your gear will last eons  ;)

Use sharpie to darken black or grey if you want a darker black.

Suede, and even more so canvas can be painted pretty effectively to make old shoes look new for a few sessions, can keep repainting too. I do this at the end of their lifecycle.

Liquid Paper to cover up missing rubber (makes a nice white that blends in with the foxing tape) recommended to then shoe goo or superglue over the top of that.

strategically rotate wheels based on how they wear.
i'm not sensitive to keeping my bushings at the same settings. i'm not good enough for it to matter i guess. i only care that they're broken in. so i'll rotate them 180 degrees sometimes to keep the wear even throughout.
Let us all take a moment of silence for all our brothers and sisters who are dealing with truck madness. We have reached page 100 and shown the world that it’s not easy, but we’re strong as one.

Wood filler for chips; man we used to do this all the time back in the day, boards don't seem to chip as much as they used too.

go to a hardware store and get a marine epoxy filler with chop strand mixed in
my dad used to use a sander to sand down our nose/ tails when they got too razor! Worked a treat (if you don’t mind your board getting slightly shorter) and restored some pop!

Impish sausage is definitely gonna blow up as a euphemism this year

DIY skatewax? Do you mean a candle? Nobody buys brand name wax. That’s ridiculous. It’s not called skatewax. It’s just wax e.g. a candle.

Recently tried 2 washers on the inside, 1 on the outside and I'm liking the nut being flush with the axle, especially since I've been riding Bones V3s.

I haven't done it but if you used thinner nuts on kingpins you could grind down the kingpin and improve clearance by about 3-5mm for crooks and feebles
dont you mean smiths and nosegrinds?

It doesn't stick to the ice and you can just easily move it wherever you need to and it applies SMOOOTH; it's the BEST way to apply shoe goo. Seriously, try it.
