i love how these look on a skateboard, i think superstars and half cabs are the best looking skate shoes (even though superstars aren’t really skate shoes but you know what i mean).

I feel 1996 all over this. Jokes aside I love this shoe but the laces rip way too quick.

i just superglue them and they're good to go. my only gripe with these shoes is that the tongue is connected to the toebox, and after you break the stitching on the side near the first stripe (which takes no more than 3-4 sessions) they get pretty loose in the front and you can see kind of like a gap between the toebox and the side panel. it doesn't affect my skating but i don't like how that looks, other than that they're perfect.

4 wheels skates a ton of shelltoes in his part in this joint, many great fits in here, starts at 10:30 or so

Always felt shelltoes were too hard in the soles and I couldn’t feel my board. Campus were better and Puma Clydes. Shelltoes were the choice for chilling.

I thought so too now for the past year I've gotten better flick and support from shelltoes. The superstar 80s has a better boardfeel but my favorite is the pro model with the puffy tongue

Did you ever actually skate in these pieces of shit.  Sure in theory they're great, but the toe had no grip and it always ripped the seam where the toe cap connected and busted open after 1 week.  Used to be 20 bucks a pair at Value City though in an wra when all skate shoes were like 80 bucks +

They skate great and grip well. The toe flicks good . Im talking about the regular ones  too. Never had skate ones. And they have been durable. Takes a while to get used the flick since the sole just goes straight up the shell.

I had the vulc adv ones before. Not bad but the classic normal shelltoe is the best one.

Anybody that has skated shelldogs know that this is the start of where the flick gets really good and consistent. Figured I might as well make a post appreciating my new ones, and not just the legends that wear/wore them.
